I'm sure they'll just bust out the grinder on the assembly line and make it fit.

The only other likelihood is that it's some type of facelifted Camaro, but a facelift for a car not yet one year into production seems highly unlikely.

This car was spied during an extremely brief test track run, but the exhaust was said to be "blaring". The front and rear fascias on the car are extremely camoflaged, but based on past hints from GM, the new Camaro Z28's front fascia will be very close to the Transformers 2 Bumblebee Camaro. We do not yet see any type of ram air scoop type hood yet, but expect one on the Z28, which will require much more air to be fed to its monster engine.

According to the photographer (take this info with a grain of salt as it has yet to be confirmed): "The wheels and tires on this Z/28 are likely non-production, however, we felt like we'd seen this particular setup before. A quick look into the archives and we realized the 2009 Cadillac CTSv sedan prototypes used almost exactly the same wheels and tires as we see on this Z/28 test car. That isn't surprising when you consider the Z/28 will share a heart with the CTSv!

Lurking under the hood is the 6.2L, supercharged V8 known as the "LSA." While that motor is good for 556hp in the CTSv, there seems to be some debate as to whether GM will allow the Camaro to have that much power. Along with a lot more power, an upgraded suspension package along with even better brakes can be expected.

Good to hear. Its been a while since we've seen an actual spyshot of GM testing a Camaro

I'll have to be happy with my SS when I get it. And if I like it that much. I can buy a used 5 year old Z/28 as a replacement and keep it as a collector car
Might I suggest finding a dealer who won't add a 20k markup ... they will exist because some of them already sell their own $70k supercharged Camaros.

A supercharger can come AFTER you add DI!
There is no point at all, what-so-ever, in any way shape or form in making a special DI engine just for the Z28. It won't have enough power for what people are expecting. It would be a new engine with a very short life span since gen IV engines are on their way out shortly after the Z28 is set to debut. Since it would be low volume, each one sold would have a high percentage of the development cost tacked on. Nobody would really care about the increased fuel economy. Should I continue?

Too many poor designs, not realized until of course you own and drive the damn thing,
but then its too late...you own it!!!
Why did you buy a car before you drove it? Sounds like your mistake, not GM's.

Ya know, I have a VERY nice Scion tC I could trade him I so want my Camaro back, but now I think I'll just save up my money for a Z28

Sweetness! I hope that it isn't astronomically priced, seeing as I don't have 45-50k to spend on a new car in a few years (I'm just now getting around to graduating college in December).... Let's hope that they reveal it soon so that we don't have to speculate anymore!

Well I would go with 90% thats its the test Z/28 why else would they be testing a Camaro with camo on it. Or why would they test a camaro period since they are already on the market and streets. You just don't go and test a camaro thats already in production and then try and cover it up. It's the Z/28 so haters get ready for it to drop.

Complete guess here, but I could see the Z28s starting around 38k - 40k (this is assuming they will have similar option packages to the 1SS and 2SS). I'd bet a well optioned Z28 would hit right around 45k.
