It's probably a feature to keep you from accidentally locking your keys in your car. At least that's the only thing I can think of.

Sorry, 2SS owner here. I love this car. I agree with the comment about whiners.

Good Lord. If they didn't put the Skip Shift on the manuals, they wouldn't meet the Federal Mileage targets. Likewise the AFM on the L99's.

Think about it a minute. Would you rather have a car that you can enjoy, and conceivably change by tuning or a simple electronic doodad to elminate the Skip Shift?

Or No Camaro at all????

I betcha the 1969 Owners ain't complaining about there fake fender slots.

Is the car perfect.... No - There isn't a car built that is perfect.

Do I still love this car?

HELL YES!

Gas hook works on mine. Would be easier if a tad longer. 2nd most useless feature for me is the position of the overhead lights. I would prefer if they were behind my head in the middle. Then if I turned them on I wouldn't be blinded and perhaps I could see where the garage door buttons are. Most useless thing for me is the payments. That money could be put to much better use modding my car.

I use it constantly if the traffic is light- love it, It's the easiest cruise control to operate I've ever owned. Not that I worry about it, but I got 23.9 MPG on the Mass pike the other night using my cruise on and off @ 75 MPH.
On the other hand I've never used the radio controls on my steering wheel- always forget there there- LOL. Love everything about my SS except those dumb summer tires.

I totally agree with the visor being craptastic. But I can live with it. The backseats are definitely useless, but I didn't buy the car to cart around my kids (or anyone else) so I'm cool with it!
This interior lock button is useless to me. If I press the lock button it automatically unlocks the doors and I have to use the remote anyway.
Maybe a program change needed as in the manual but who cares. Auto lockout feature is annoying.

Most wouldn't, but my dad did.
He took the gills off, plugged the wholes, sanded, and painted. You'd think it came from the factory like that.

Someone needs to make a rewire for it so Halo's come on automatically
Now there is a great idea ! The halos for the daytime running lights. We like to show them off anyway. I turn on the halos just to turn off the daytime running lights anyway.

I wonder if mine is telescoped all the way out? Is it the same lever at the tilt? If so then it would be nice if it telescoped out more so I could see the headlight switch.

I agree. It looks cool & should be fuctional, but maybe the way they have it set up keeps our air filer cleaner and we don't lose and power either. We could use a functional mail slot to cool the engine, but then we might get out pretty engine covers dirty

I'd go with the door locks - and once I get used to it, it'll be ok. I've gotten out of the drivers side, walk around the car, try to open the passenger door, have to go around the car again, lean into the car to unlock the doors, and go around again. It's minor, but it's been inconvenient the times I've had to do it.
You should get in the habit of never getting out of your car unless you have the key for a lot of reasons like getting locked out like I did, someone stealing your car, or someone gettting in your car that you don't want there (like a relative or friend). If you want to hear the engine just hit the remote start.

I don't plan on eating or drinking in my car so they are useless to me. they are just another place to clean.

I have to go check again. I tried it. It could be I don't know how to use the lever yet or it is out all the way already. If the latter, then it needs to telescope out more for someone like me.

You can set how your door locks behave and many other things by pushing config on the radio.

The rev limiter helps save your engine and the traction control helps save your tires that cost $300 a piece. Have all you SS owner notice that even with the traction control on the car still spins a little. I ilke it ! The traction control is also good for driving in bad weather (which might lower our insurance). We don't want to have an accident with our nice camaros, and it shuts off with a simple push of a button.

2010SLVRBUILT, I don't know if this is a joke or not from you, but the rear view mirror takes away from my visibilty. I like the chopped roof, so they coul tuck up the rear view mirror or slim it down a bit.

Greenrail, I have to agree with you. I'm sure a lot of these things where to avoid some tax to make the car affordable for us, or to meet some regulation to be able to build the car for us. I had a similar opinion in my previous post. For me there is only one car now, the 2010 camaro. I already want another one !!!

I love cruise control. I set mine to 55 or 35 to avoid getting any speeding tickets also , and it saves you on fuel. Also, on long drive it reduces fatigue and is so relaxing to use.

You know now that you mention it it is a great cruise control. I like how you can push the + or - button and set the speed instead of holding the + or - buttton until you get to that speed.

NO, the Rev limiter is not set to 118MPH... and YES, driving in this manner does affect MPG...
