Fuel Milage 16.3 MPG
I have 1815 miles on my 2ss/rs A6. The computer in my car says I average 16.3 MPG.
I do a lot of mixed driving. Light and steady on the hiway, hard on the on ramps, easy around the city, but I let my car warm up before I drive it. So this might be bringing my milage down. I get my 8 quart mobil 1 oil chages for $70 at the dealer. I have gotten two so far, one about with 400 miles, and another with about 1700 miles. I got my rear diff changed at the dealer for $22 for the gear oil & $44 labor. The original quote was $140 for the diff so I explained to them it was only a quart of oil.

2LT RS: Got close to 1200 miles on it, and its giving me the average of 21.7 mpg at an average speed of 35 mph.
I do a ton of highway driving, 120 miles total each weekday to work, and I usually set it on cruise at like 73mph. |

i have lots of moronic, congested stop and go BS.... stupid ramps, traffic out the wazoo, and the occasional "fun" driving. but, im still in "break-in mode" and not mashing, and it says my average is 16.1mpg. thats what i maintained in my 07 monte SS (5.3L V8) ... so we'll see. i also tend to warm it up before i leave the house in the AM for work, too...my goal is to get it UP above my 16.1 "record". hahaha.

I get about 16MPG.
Even though I live in the country, my daily commute is about 15 miles, with about 15 stops (stop signs, turns etc).
So I would say my typical driving is more like city driving from an MPG point of view. |

Turn it up to 11.
|
I only drive about 12 miles a day and only about 5-6 miles on the freeway per day. 2SS auot, 14 MPG and I usually fill up at a half tank which is every two weeks. That is only with work, on weekends I get a little bit more out of the MPG with more freeway and some "spirited" side road driving.

2SS - L99 - Predator Tune - AFM Off
Daily driving is about 32 miles round trip. 26 highway, 6 city. I'm getting 17.5 according to the DIC. I'm filling up today so I'll do a manual calculation and update. Edit: Manual calculation was 17.33 MPG. For my driving habits, the moral of the story is... L99 - Stock Tune - AFM On roughly equals L99 - Predator Tune - AFM off as far as MPG are concerned.

The mileage will vary greatly depending on how you drive. I can avg. 20-22 mpg commuting back and forth to work, it's basically a 10 mile interstate ride. But, that's no fun either so I don't do that. I had it out at a racetrack for a track day and averaged 10 mpg...yep, 10 but was 100% on the throttle then 100% on the brakes, etc. My suggestion to you is don't buy the SS if you're worried at all about mileage. If the budget is that close or you want to conserve or something than go with the LT or LS. I don't see how you can restrain yourself and not use a heavy foot with the SS...my two cents anyway...

I have just under 4000 miles and have a mix between highway and city and computer says 17.4 miles per gallon. When I frove for NC to FL last week It took a tank and 1/2 to get there and for the last 10 miles I did about 115 mph. SO the hole trip was about 19 or 20 mile per gallon.
