Sir, you are in the wrong forum, the wrong car. You need a Prius. Give your musclecar to someone who will love it, and not try to make it responsible for an ecological issue to which it is only scantly related by a stretch.

Hybrid=comprise.

http://www.chevy-volt.net/chevrolet-volt-specs.htm

It has little HP, little torque, and requires that you run a gas engine between 1500 and 2000 rpm at times, while taking 6 hours to charge, and it still only gets 50 MPG.

I haven't seen a Hybrid car that I like. It has to be 100% pure electric. Hybrids to me seem like someone comprimised with the oil companies.

Seriously, I'll take it off your hands. I have no problem burning oil.

Tesla motors makes 100% electric vehicles. I believe they are American made, but I could be wrong.

Trade it for the Volt when it comes out in the market.

Edit: Too slow.

I am in the right forum because I am a Camaro owner. If its ok to talk about how much we love our babies, why isn't it ok to talk about resosideration of said love?

It's not a hybrid. It's an extended range electric vehicle.

Umm...yeah. It's called practicality. The Volt allows you to drive infinite distances while an electric car like the Leaf will leave you stranded at the side of the road once you hit the end of its EV range. The gas engine only comes on once you hit the end of the 40 mile EV range.

You're complaining about the Volt taking six hours to charge from any standard household outlet when other cars like the Leaf requires a dedicated recharging unit?

And little torque? Since when is over 200 lb. ft. of torque in a compact car "little?" Did I mention that it's instant torque on launch? The Volt is a rocket compared to conventional hybrids.

how do they make electricity? Coal or nuclear mostly. kind of a lose lose situation. You should find an alternative like the 50,000 other people trying and come back and rub it in our face!

Who says what natural is. The people that are suppose to know this stuff change their thinking all the time. I believe if used correctly oil doesn't hurt the balance of things any more than anyother form of energy used today. I know one thing for sure. people that argue this point should try just for one month to not use anything that involves oil products, gas, or coal and then you'll see how badly the balance of your life is changed. Better pick a stick and make a spear because you won't be buying food of any kind if you really don't use any of this products.
