It was actually funny as hell. I was in KC for a TBSS National Meet and I had been taunting my old TBSS homies for weeks about my Pregnant Redheaded Midget Stripper I had that would bust their asses. Well the night before the trip to the drag strip I broke my Pregnant Redheaded Midget Stripper!

So I did the next best thing I could do, I laid down the gauntlet and challenged every single person at the track to a money foot race in the 1/8th and not a single person showed to race so I took a friends little one out there and was gonna jog him down the track. Then low and behold a friends 16 yr old track star son rolls out to the track and I was like well BLEEP BLEEP and BLEEP BLEEP....

I actually had to run to beat the kid. The 41 yr old fart took the win light at 29.90 in the 1/8th on foot off the tree. Mind you that was not ALL IN for those wishing to try the old man

I got my gears and install kit from Apex, I think everything was around $750. I searched in my area (Jacksonville FL) high and low and was about to give up, but then I talked to one of the guys at a the local 4x4 club. They pointed me to a guy that does all their gears; let me tell you, this guy knew what he was doing. He was meticulous and thorough and my gears make no noise that I can detect.

Yep. 'Glad I had a good installer for my 4.10s. No noise here! 'Might even be quieter than before I got them.

Can't beat that! You need to refer some of your fellow Floridians to whoever did the install, they seem to be having a hard time finding a good shop.

No. It simply lowers your overall gear ratio which means you are a lot faster without adding extra horsepower.

Nothing you do to your car will out right void your warranty. That is a big myth. However, GM is clearly not going to pay to fix a problem that wasn't caused by their parts. The only real warranty implications are going to be drive train parts "down stream" from the rear end because they will be under some additional stress, in other words your axles.
