If the license is approved, will it be for exact replicas (only larger) of the OEM "SS" badges, or will they still be slighty squared off like "55" as in the old pictures?

They obviously did if it's being sold on a Berger. Maybe that's why they haven't wholesaled the license out to everyone, to giver Berger the exlcusivity on that.

This is the Berger Camaro, and I was told by them that they had them custom machined, and if I wanted one I would have to buy the car. I told them you'd make a killing selling just the SSes.

I saw someone else at the GM Nationals using a 2007 Impala SS, and it looked good, but I liked this one a lot more.

If GM doesnt allow this.... then there will probably be a handful of the Berger Camaros that get vandalized just for the SS.

Its a horrible thought, but you know there is somebody out there who will do it.

Do them yourself for around $50.

Emblems on eBay for $16. They come White and you can either paint them or purchase a vinyl insert.

Part # for Emblem: 200468976054 $32 for 2

Vinyl from PFYC (www.partsfor yourcar.com) - Select "Newer style SS badge in non Reflectve Red" $15.95 for a pair

You will need to use either a heat gun or lighter to bend to fit.

They come with 3M tape. I felt that was not strong enough, so I bought a tube of 3M emblem glue from a parts store and used it and they are now on there good.

You could make yourself a backing plate for the front which might be a tad better, but mine looks good and is holding up well with no plate once I used the glue instead of the tape.
