I guess there are car guys and there are car guys. You just keep taking your car to the car shows, it seems that is what you are good at, and you should go with your strengths. Not that there is anything wrong with going to car shows, before you get your panties in a ruffle.

This is America, and you are intitled to your own point of view.

Since the original poster has not replied, or had a problem with my opinion, to my comments about NOT buying a camaro, I do not see much for your point. But if you would ever like to pick an argument with me on any other posts, Other than car show best parking stuff, please do. I love having a disagreement with a person whom gets offended so easly.

Whats with the kisses Bill? I dont swing that way you homo. Losers like you like to argue with people that speak common sense. Buh Bye

I think the first question the OP should ask himself is "what purpose will the car serve?" I have a heavily modded C6 Corvette that will run 10.9 in the quarter mile. As a car to race on the track, it is great! But...the street characteristics are terrible! The large cam causes bucking when under 80mph. Since I am no longer going to be racing, I am looking at selling it and buying a 2SS to play with and have as my DD. I bought my 08 back in 08 with 10k miles for $40k. The work that I have in the car would have run around $15k (I hydrolocked the factory LS3, my insurance company gave me money for a new long block and the shop did the stroker 418 short block at the same price as the factory LS3 replacement cost, so it was a no brainer at the time). If you want a car that is just wicked fast, find a used GS Corvette and do a stroker. For $55k, you could be turning speeds faster than the ZR1 with lower maintanence costs. Or, if you want a car that is easier to get in and out of, get a 2SS and put a stroker under the hood. Not to slam the aftermarket companies that brand their modifications, but a good performance shop can help you build the car that you want for the purposes you are going to use it with. Good luck with your decision!!!!

Tuff call... I would go with a 2010 ZL575, 2011 ZL585 or 2012 Z/28 -all have warranties... Other than lower facia, the ZLs should be on par with the Z/28. I'm not a patient man, so I'd go w/ an SLP in a heartbeat... heck, I have another 2800 miles to decide on converting my SS to a ZL454.

Whatever you do make sure you have a warranty on the work. Nothing worse than spending $20k on mods just to have it break evey 1000 miles.
