House payments blow no matter what. Can't ever be concerned about that. In the end you'll always be disappointed.

It's better than throwing your money away in an apartment.

Eh, I guess it's how you look at it. At least throwing money into an apartment you don't have to worry about upkeep. Most worthwhile places will fix almost anything for free. In a home it's all you.

In the end when you move if you're in an apartment you just cut and run with no baggage. Sure, you spent money, but you wont need to worry about what to do with the place. If you leave a purchased home you'll need to make sure it's paid off or you're getting enough in whatever you sell it for... you'll need to deal with inspectors... and of course people walking through it. Be the one that doesn't have it at it's top notch condition and that asking price you want is now thousands less.

So it sucks throwing money at an apartment yes... but it has it's perks. Headaches no matter what.

This. I live in a nice apartment, but it sucks to be throwing money away. That's kinda how it goes here in Socal, you have to be wealthy to buy for the most part.

I speak from experience...maybe you need a new girlfriend, not the trade in on which you will certainly loose money. You should not let her decide for you. If you like the car, keep it, and if she does not come around...well start fishing.

What you don't understand is that your "joke" about going back to get the other car to make her happy set off a firestorm of responses because hidden in your humor is a person who didn't even realize that he "jokingly" hides the fact that he doesn't make his own decisions... that's why everyone spoke up. Surprise, fear and worry that you'll never realize that a significant other should make you stand tall and proud, not cower in fear that you'll make the wrong choice or do the wrong thing and upset her. People see the signs... be careful!!!
