Gotta Go....... Talk to you guys later.
Hey Scottish...you can always try what I did last night when the walls close in, and I can't drive Orange Krate. My wife, five others and I, jumped into our friends van and drove to the local indian casino 2 hours away for some diversionary fun.

I walked in plopped down a twenty and played a penny machine for about 2 hours. At midnight I switched machines (Vibrant 7's) and hit the bonus round big time!

My next mod will now be paid for by the casino! Life just doesnt get any better than that! STAY WARM! Raining here in So Cali today!

Hi Bill,
I am going to get the back window tinted first. I bought a second set of wheels (RS painted takeoffs) that are going to be exchanged for a set of chromed aluminum 21's. The takeoffs also included two front tires and the pressure sensors are brand new on all four wheels. So I will use a combination of sale money from tires, and make the deal.

But... that may all wait if I can get the painter lined up to do the pearl ghost stripes I have in mind. I really want my window tinted and the stripes on first since I have aluminum polished factory wheels already. I just recently received the IOM shark fin to replace the "black turd" on the roof, so that project will happen soon too. I can't wait to get into the goodies. My priority though is draining the trans gear lube and sending out a sample, and refilling with the Royal Purple. I consider that and the rear lube changeout a high priority. I want to know what is really going on with this manual trans because that is eating at me knowing there is an identified problem that has been made "official" yet, and I am experiencing intermittantly the problems described by so many.

C5Fest II ??

I am curious as to how many TPW 11/15 folks are now going to Cam Fest II? I am planning on going... but I am also headed to Texas on April 30th (my "Double Nickel" BDAY!!!) for a convention in Grapevine, Texas. So my schedule will be tight.

It does not look like I will make it. But I will be going to the FBodyGathering in Atlanta again this year. The gathering in 2006 is when I first saw the new Camaro. Wanted one ever since. Now I have one.

Can you believe it...we here in the left coast are getting ready for more rain and snow! It started sprinkling this AM and a front is supposed to blow in tonight and rain on and off through Saturday! My car will be parked for the longest time yet. BUMMER! Going to go camping this weekend as part of the ongoing Valentine's wish requested by my wife! Gotta keep her happy. Going to Solvang (Danish town north of Santa Barbara). If the weather was nice I might even drive Orange Krate up there too but it is looking muy no bueno for that. Good news is the Indian Casino is there and last time I walked out $800.00+ richer! If I could duplicate a win like that it would help with a mod or two. BTW...I had some extended dialogue with two shops and a Chevy dealer regarding the ongoing transmission saga. All three places HIGHLY encouraged me NOT to put the Royal Purple transmission fluid or rear end lube in the car!!! I was told that Chevrolet has their own special oil in the transmission and rear end and they might deny the transmission claim under warranty. I find this absurd if the oil exceeds manufacturers recommendations and specs. One of the shops shared a recent client experience with Ford. It went like this... a new Ford truck owner bought a 2010 truck for work. It wasn't a race truck or off road truck. The owner wanted to hear his engine so he went to the muffler shop and bought a Flowmaster muffler (single) and had it installed. Sometime later he blew his engine. It was well within the warranty (under 10,000 miles). Ford denied the warranty based on MUFFLER change!!! This was after the Ford Regional Rep got involved too! UNBELIEVABLE! Moral of the story...stock for me at this point.

Well, I saw the yard for the first time in over 2 months.
Has been warm (For a Feb. in Ohio) about 60 deg. for 2 days.
Car-Mine is still covered up in the garage with only 18 miles on him
We had no rain so the streets are full of salt.
Oh well Spring training will start Sunday, and the Daytona 500 also.
Spring is just around the corner, I Hope.

I'm in the same boat as you Scottish, brought my Camaro home on 12-02-10 and she has been under cover since. I have 39 miles on her. No chance of seeing the yard for some time yet, lots of snow on the ground and more coming this Sunday. I expect it will be early to mid April before I can take a cruise just to check out the ride.
Can't wait!!!

Blondie has almost 4k on Elvira. She's been driven in the snow, rain, occasional mud puddle and believe it or not she's still alive! Looking beautiful as ever too I might add!
