I just bought a 7th Gen iPod nano with Bluetooth. But my Menu option only have bluetooth for my phone and can only use GMConnect through my iPhone. There doesn't seem to be a plain bluetooth menu for a devise other than a phone. Is there any fix? I have a 2010 Camaro and my HW is CC and my SW is CE for my PDIM.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Why is this not stickied yet? Considering every Camaro has this issue...

Ok, I now have a new PDIM and wiring, want to install it, easy part. Where are the instructions on programming the radio to recognize the PDIM and operation. I have access to a dealer, but want to have the process in hand.

Here are the instructions that come with the PDIM kit http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...9&postcount=37

Quote:
17. Perform the radio calibration upgrade. This will allow the radio to recognise the PDIM. This is required on all vehicles that have not had the PDIM installed before.

18. Perform a PDIM calibration upgrade. This will ensure the PDIM has the latest level of software available.

Great advice Sir Nuke!!! I took my SS into my local dealer and explained that I was in for some warranty work. Expecting to hear the same song and dance about first we have to see the problem, can you replicate it, what is it doing...etc.

I handed the PDF that you posted to the service writer after exchanging hellos and welcomes. I had highlighted any of the problems that I had experienced. Guy takes the car in calls me back after an hour and tells me that they have ordered the new PDIM and will be installing it tomorrow. I decided to leave my car there for my convenience.

Short of the car being on fire, explaining my problem and what needed to be done to make me happy could have not been any easier.

It is good to see that Chevy acknowledges problems with higher tech radio stuff and fixes the problem...Now Ford on the other hand...I have given up on ever trying to use an iPod on their SYNC system. Similar problems but my old Ford dealership would swear up and down it was the iPods problem...all five of them!

I hope it all works out for you.....it should......but a word of advice, before you sign off on the work, look at the work order, adn verify that they got and installed the right P/N, and get in your car and verify the HW/ S/W version that is in your car.....you want the DB/DD as seen in previous posts. Its happened before.

What is the website where you can plug your vin# in and see if your PDIM is up to date. Also if I bring it to the dealer is it a free upgrade?

no need to go to any website.....just download and follow the instructions in the TSB that you will find in post #961 above. It will show you how to find out what HW/SW version of the PDIM you have in your car. as far as it being free? it will depend on whether oyour car is still under warrentee or not. IF it is, its free, if its not, it isn't

Do you know if the official GM extended warranty will cover this? I would suspect they would.

Because of this site and posters such as you. I was on the phone that morning making sure that the p/n ordered was the one listed here. Also I double checked the HW SW versions and yes they did come out to DB DD.

I was going crazy thinking it was my iPod that was messing up, but now everything seems to be working like it should. Songs list right, no static from our of no where and no more of those pops like somebody chunked a rock at the car.

Once again you guys rock...
