I'm not suggesting someone risk their job and do something against company policy, I'm just surprised there hasn't been any official annoucements but this is the first time I've ever paid attention to anything like this so I don't know how it works.

This is a high profile launch so GM probably won't say anything until very close to the launch date. That goes for trucks and Corvette.

Very true. Since the Gen V V8 will make its debut in the C7 GM will be holding out for maximum press to unveil a new generation of Corvette powered by a new generation of SBC.

So whatever vehicle is released with the new engine first will reveal the V-8 performance numbers? Is anyone expecting the genV to have its own release prior to Corvette or the trucks?

Let' start a pool.

a. Truck gets the DI V8 first
b. Vette gets the DI V8 first
c. 5th Gen Z/28 gets the DI V8 Turbo first

It seems odd that we would see the new engines in the trucks first but timing wise it makes sense. I vote A

Buuuuut I think we will see something "special" for the Vette........
