I have a question for my Ohio friends. In 2 weeks, I will be traveling to east coast of NC. I will be shooting across Ohio into W. Va. What is the easiest, quickest way to get to Charleston, W Va from Indianapolis? From there I will pick up I77 down into NC and on my way. Looking to stay on Interface/4-lane hwy if possible.

Not sure what the traffic, construction, etc. is like going that way, any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend picking up 35 in Dayton and following it out all the way to Charleston. Its a nice road, not too bad on traffic depending on the time of day. I drove it this past fall and there was hardly any traffic. Much nicer than the large interstates without the sacrifice of slower speeds.

I77 east until you hit 275, take 275 until you hit Batavia route 32 east, take that until you hit 35 south. 35 south will take you directly until you hit i64 about 15 minutes outside of charleston. Take 64 east right into the city..

Btw others may tell you differently but I drove to charleston once every two weeks for 4 years... I went to college there.

From Indy it should be 2.5 hrs to 275, 35 min to 32, about 1.5 hours on 32, then about 50min to an hour on 35 to reach 64, then 15 into town.
So a total of roughly 6 hours with stops for gas.

Very good option as well. Not a huge fan of 35 due to the amount of tractor trailers and to many damn cops, albeit 32 has many cops as well it is hard for them to hide due to the amount of curves, pass throughs, and hills.

35 is just a good straight route, no worries about having to switch roads or anything. I didn't see too many cops when I went through but I was traveling early morning so maybe they just werent out yet lol

I've decided that any car project isn't a real project unless:
1) It takes way more time than you estimate
2) You have to make 3+ trips to the auto parts store (and one of those must be because you bought/were given the wrong part)
3) You injure yourself multiple times (with at least one drawing blood)
4) The dirt/grease on your hands/under your fingernails doesn't come off for at least a week after

I can check all these off for this one.

That was a super fun day.

+1

35 east out of Dayton, 64 east to Charleston, then 77 south

Driven it about 4-5 times a year for the past 12 years from Dayton to Bluefield, WV and Blacksburg, VA. Just remember to bring money for the toll booths on 77.

This is the only way I have ever gone. Then again I live about 14 miles from SR32.

Ahh the infamous broken wheel stud. An air chisel makes things so much easier when doing these. O and grinding about 1/8'' off the "head" helps get the new one in easier.

Straight across 35 or 32 to 35 are both good options. I roll both ways when I head to Cincy. Be heading that way Thursday morning as a matter of fact!!

How to buy a camaro.

If your a car buff, you have to at least appreciate the ferraris and lambos, and I bet you've looked around for them yourself. Did you know if you go into ebay and type in "lamborgini", the related searches are "Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Maserati, Lotus, Corvette, and Camaro"?

Yes, if you read that in order it sounds just about right:
Cant afford a lambo, how about a ferrari. Oooh cool... too bad I can't afford a ferrari, how about an aston martin. Ouch didn't realize how pricey those were- what about a porsche. they cost... What? I don't want a crappy 944... well Maseratis similar to ferrari right? When the heck are prices going to DROP on these things, thats the same amount they cost 5 years ago. urgh. What about a lotus. $60k for a lotus? I thought the lotus was the super car for those who cant afford a supercar gosh... well I did always want a vette. Well I can afford a C4... but they are so ugly. I dunno. A camaros pretty close and a lot cheaper right? yeah I'll pick up a new camaro! yeah!!

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)
