I have been running at Fontana a few times. This question may have been asked before buy I could not find it. I am stock 2010 SS camaro best time 14.1 105 mph..but I keep either spinning or hopping in hole Im afraid the hop will break something. what can I add suspension wise to keep this from happening..thnks

18" Z06 rims with 40 mm offset and Nitto NT05's. That solves all hops and traction issues for me.......nothing but a good clean burn

If you want to keep stock tires and just get rid of hoping some aftermarket trailing arms and bushings will tighen up the rear and help.....Dropping the rear tire pressure will help....But I didn't have much luck on stock tires hooking up....I never do and pretty much consider drag tires my best and most essential mod.

A good set of trailing arms will eliminate wheel hop

Training arms are a small part of a wheel hop solution.

As JusticePete from Pedders says: "After more te$ting than I care to think about we have come to the conclusion that the most important drag racing suspension modifications are sub-frame inserts or full bushes and toe links. Trailing arms are a distant distant third... The cheapest and most overlooked drag strip modification is rear wheel alignment. The less negative camber you have at rest, the better your rear tires will bite as your 5th Gen squat-ts."

Lots of good threads out there on wheel hop solutions.

Trailing arms & tie rods help eliminate wheel hop. If only afford one then trailing arms first ..
I never had too much wheel hop or traction problems stock. Just rode clutch out some..
One other thing if u upgrade to drag radials that helps a lot with traction & wheel hop. U run 18psi & they soft sidewallsthat absorb shock

If your only worried about hop at the track and not the street get some 18" z06 rims and DRs as I suggested 305/45/18s. The additional side wall and lower tire pressure at the strip will eliminate wheel hop 95% of the time. KISS-keep it simple stupid I always say. I don't care how you launch the car and what bushings you have, they won't make as big of a difference as some smaller rims and good DRs at the track. Its drag racing 101. If you are worried about the street well then go play with subframe bushings and trailing arms. At 300+ a rear tire I keep my burnouts to the strip only on my track tires. just my opinion.

I have zero suspension mods. Just wheels and tires at the strip.

Yes, that's why the discussion thread was started. Discussions should be kept to a minimum in this thread. That makes it easier to keep track of actual 1/4 posts.
