just to see what version you have, dealer must do the update...

Okay Sir Nuke where did the recommended part number for the PDIM come from on the TSB you posted this link PI0055B with GM PN#.pdf My tech said if that is the required part number it would be listed in the TSB and I have read it over and cannot find it. And the tech told me the PDIM part# 22797218 is for an Equinox. Here is my thread with all my issues and what they have done to my car so far http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254335

I still have yet to get this resolved and I feel like my dealership doesn't know how to fix it even after I have had all components to the radio replaced. They have told me to put my iphone in airplane mode because it won't operate correctly unless it is in airplane mode. But it does the same thing in airplane mode too. I have called GM and opened a case but they are no help and the GM guy is very rude. At this point I feel like this issue will never be resolved!

My car shows hardware version: DB and software version: DB
And has PDIM part# 20985421

That P/N came directly from GM CUSTOMER SERVICE right here in this site, IN this thread....and YES we know its not listed on the TSB, becasue they would have to reprint it everytime they changed the P/N if it were listed....and YES they know, as they told us, that this is the correct P/N to have the LATEST/GREATEST HW/SW for our system, and that their data base hasn't been updated as of yet, thus dealers/tech's will question it......HOWEVER, it is the right part.....I did all the research in this thread, read every page, and talked to Customer Service here in this thread, I went to my dealer, TSB in hand, and after checking the HW/SW version using the TSB, ordered that part, pit it in, and has wirked FLAWLESSLY for the last 1 1/2 years ever since. So now its up to you to convince your dealer that its right.....One of our other members was having the same problem convincing his dealer to do the right thing, so he printed up teh whole thread, when through the entire thing and put flags on all of teh appropriate posts from GM Customer Service.

Keep after them. Even tho the tech pulled up the tech note, working with him and the service rep got me now where. So ended up going to the dealership manager and throwing a fit. It took about 5 trips to get this resolved and not sure why owners are still having problems getting this done.

Okay so I have read every single page and post on this thread and couldn't find where a GM person posted the part number as being required. I did a search on the part number and still didn't find it.

My dealership just called while I was reading all this and they want my car next Tuesday so they can run some tests on the PDIM? WTF kindof tests can they run. I just don't know why they won't listen to me :(

My guess is that they were/are sworn to not divulge that kind of info.

If you use the advanced search feature and use the part number only, OR try DB/DD (which is what HW/SW you would have once installed) you will find MANY posts, here are just the start..... 729, 737, 738, 740, 743, 744, 750, 761, 769, 772, 773....and the list goes on. The original GM CISTOMER SERVICE guy give one of the members the number when he had him one the phone, which is how we got the number, and the info that he was a good number and works with our system.

I see I was trying to find a post from the gm person on here where they stated the part number so I could have more solid proof for my dealership.
My district gm specialist is an a hole!!! He claims that he cannot look up any information on the tsb's or other issues with the pdim to compare how it was fixed with other camaro's. I really don't see why he is even calling me if he cant help. Guess I just need another higher up person!

My service tech (repairman) was able to bring up the document after I gave him the PI0055. The left margin was not shown but I think was his screen settings. So it looks like the "district gm specialist" could have also.

Well I guess I am just screwed on this deal all the way around....took car to my dealership and left it with them all day last Wed so they could run tests on the pdim. They said they called GM and had them on the phone telling them what to test and do to try and fix it. The service dept stated that they made a new wire harness from the pdim to the back of the radio and that should fix the problem. Well guess what it didnt still doing the same thing! My dealership said they were told by GM that if that didnt fix it, it was a phone issue something wrong with apple software and there is nothing else they can do! GAHHHHHHH!!!! I just wanna set the radio on fire!!!!!!! I'm gonna go see my dealer today and see if I can test my phone on a newer camaro and compare the hd/sw versions on them. I just don't know what to do at this point. I don't have any other phones beside apple products to test on my car. They also stated that the pdim part #22797218 would not fit in the camaros. Is there anyone else to call besides my a hole district specialist?

Look 2 pages back, I bought that part number and installed it, had it updated and everything is fine. What version are you running now?

I saw your post but I dont want to have to spend money out of my pocket to fix this issue since GM should pay for it. And I think they are just bs'ing me about it not fitting.
I have hardware version: DB and software version: DB
And PDIM part# 20985421
