I have hardware version: DB and software version: DB
And PDIM part# 20985421
Can they update to DB/DD ?

And I ordered and had them replace under warranty since I had a problem, wanted to be sure they had the correct part in stock when I took it in.

Hold the Select or Menu button down for 8-10 seconds and your radio will tell you what version you have...

Yours should be able to reprogrammed.

⇒If the version level displayed is: Version DB or greater, proceed to Step 7

The issue is trying to get my service dept to reprogram or put in the correct pdim part #, they sound like a broken record all they keep saying is I have the most updated versions. But I am sure from this thread that I should have hd: DB and sw: DD

Correct, DB/DD. Print the bulletin, and show them in the lane that you know how to read the version. Educate your Service Dept and they appear to have a bunch of untrained people at their dealer. They should be able to do the update, it takes about 30 minutes for it to complete the update once started. Its all done via laptop connected to the vehicle through the dealerships MDS.

I have tried that and they keep saying it is updated with the most current software. I have showed them the tsb and explained everything to them. The issue with the tsb is it doesnt show what hardware version it should be it just says if version is DB or greater proceed to step 7 which is to reprogram the pdim. If I had the most updated sw and hw version info on paper then I wouldn't have to try and hold their hand while they try and fix it.
