Where do you guys get your performance parts from? Tuned? I'm wanting to get headers and a full exhaust for starters. I'd like to do all of the work myself BUT living in an apartment and having some issues physically it may not be feasible.

The parking is reserved for SoCal Camaro5. I called and reserved parking for everyone on monday.
For headers and full exhaust your better off buying them from an online vendor here on Camaro5. You will get a better deal than anywhere else. I don't mean to pry into your business but judging by your screen name and you saying you have hand controls on your vehicle I'm not sure how much work you can do yourself when it comes to headers and exhaust. That being said, I would be more than willing to do the install for you versus sending you to a shop. I just installed long tube headers on my car a couple weeks ago and have hi flow cats and StainlessWorks 3" retro chambered catback. It sounds amazing. A shop will charge you around $450 just to install headers which in my opinion is waaayyyy too much for such a simple install. What headers and exhaust are you interested in? |

I can wriggle under a car, given there is enough clearance. lol Left hand is limited in function. I'd love to be able to do the work myself. Current location not permitting. Haven't made up my mind on the set up yet. I'd like to hear them in person. I'm not sure whether to go with shorty headers or LT's...Thinking a meet up will help me gain some insight

In January 2013, model year 2000 and newer vehicles only have to get a visual and OBDII diagnostic check for smog, no more sniffer test, so it should be relatively easy to find a smog pace that will overlook the long tubes. JBA and ARH shorty headers are CA smog legal but they don't give you the performance of full long tubes. The stock manifolds already flow very well so shortys are pretty much only good for an increase in exhaust tone. |

Ok Well I guess I'm going to have to come to Jack Murphy ( Hate calling it Qualcomm) to meet up and pick some brains as well to check out some rides...I appreciate the offer for the help. I'm sure I'll end up taking you up on that Do I need a secret phrase or handshake to get into the Camaro5 area?
