you betcha!! one of the best places to go on a bike - used to ride a '99 CBR 600 F4 and '99 750 Shadow ACE.

Good times - but since the kids have arrived I need something like the Camaro so they can enjoy too!!!

Reelax Junior , just because it is not important to you deosn't mean there is not value to others. Besides most is killing time waiting for the real info. There has been quite a good bit of info on here if you read all 40+ pages of it, I am sure you will see that.

And is there anything wrong with this forum sprouting friendships as well as Camaro information?

Just curious!

I saw a comment on one of the threads that said "boy are they ever old" well guess what? You're right. The lowest seniority in the plant is 20 yrs. With most of us having 25 or more! Everyone else works on the Impala line here in Oshawa.

I sat in Hendricks car before it had wheels on it and even then it felt FAST! The exaust sound of both the V8 and V6 are something to behold. Are you jealous yet?

y did GM get rid of the hurst short throw

They have not gotten rid of it. They are installing it at the plant, but it's still on constraint because they have to "fix" the line so they can put it in.

They should hurry the F up!!! I want the shifter, but if it's not ready, I doubt I will be buying it even when it becomes available in the parts department, unless it can be installed without lowering the drivetrain.

what the heck is so special about the hurst shifter that makes people want to wait on it? Hate to sound naive seeing as i am a car & Camaro enthusiasts but i have absolutely no clue what the big deal is.

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

Hi TStko -

I've had a hurst shifter and even I don't know what the big deal is...! I think it is a "short throw" shifter. A shorter throw means its faster to shift gears. I think. I really don't know. Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

I've heard part of the reason they're changing the shifter is that they want to redesign it so if you order it through GMPP and have the dealer install it, they won't have to lower the drivetrain or any other major work.
