Then they said it could take a few days, and they'll provide me a rental at that time.

Here's to hoping that takes care of the problem...

Holly crap watch out... That what they did on mine and then 60 clicks later it started to pop out of second gear

same here... they replaced my 2nd gear and synchros etc. Grind is back worse than before and about only 5 to 7k miles later. More than likely u will have it happen again.

I got some good face time with GM folk here at the Fest. To be honest, when I brought it up to the Camaro Engineer. He immeadiately thought of the V8 Problem. I am not so sure they have an impending HUGE problem with AY6. He seemed geniunely surprised and appears to be sincere about getting my issue fixed. Sadly, my dealership keeps dropping the BALL. JEFF MORRIS i nkow you are paying attention to this thread. you should really reach out to us V6 Manual peeps and play the same game you are with the V8 people. You have more V6 guys on the road then v8s gurantee it. I had a long talk with my Finace last night about the car. We will give the allotted 3 chances to fix the reoccuring problem before we look into Lemon Law. As much as I love this car. As much as I want to give GM the ability to fix this rather BIG issue... I have to be able to exercise my rights. Its truly sad. I love this car.

ponbigi, I apologize if it looks like I am playing sides between the V8 and V6 communities. I assure that is not what I want it to look like. I am here for all of you equally. I see that you've had your vehicle into your dealership and they were unsuccessful I assume? If you would like I could setup a case for you with our Customer Assistance team to see what we can do for you on our end. Simply send me your contact information and I will setup your case for you. I hope this helps you.

what is the total sales of V6 camaros with manual transmitions? now what is the total cars with ACTUAL problems?? I'm thinking it is very low compared to how many are sold that is likely why GM is not rushing to fix the problem. before you blast me or whatever remember i have a M6 V6 so this is something I think about every time I shift and yet still have no issues.

I know when I bought mine it was pretty rare to find a v6 manual outside of ordering one. I think its a fairly new issue and may impact the 2011 cars more so than 2010. Dealership said I am the only one with the problem I asked how many ls 6 speeds manual have they sold and they said not many. Sure could this be isolated yeah but 2 times now the problem has occurred on my car that tells me I defective product. I simply want a new tranny with a new clutch. If it happens again then I know its the transmission. Remember we only get a small sampling based on this website as not every CAMARO owner will join here. Very happy that u don't have this issue.

i was experiencing occasional grinding shifting from 2nd to 3rd,however after 6,000
miles, the tranny is "butter" smooth now,and the issue has resolved itself.i would say that
you might want to wait, and put some miles on it to determine if it just needs to "break-in"
so to speak!..just sayin!

I have over 16,000 miles on it. This is NOT a "break in" issue. This is a "transmission is broken" issue.
