Just got off the phone with dealer, she called up the chain to find my car
(10147)and was told that it is in qc hold along with 3000-5000 others to fix something, only the ss has a problem with. I wonder if its the batterie cable issue. I asked if the cars can be shipped to dealers and fixed there and they said no, must be fixed at factory.
So I don't think I will be seeing a window sticker any time soon, hopefully will have car by my birthday (july 2nd incase anyone wants to send presents).
I really don't know what to do any more, wait it out or buy something I can drive this summer. What more can I say except thanks GM for F U my summer fun.

Your dealer may be wrong...
I was under the impression that the higher VINs did not have the same issues that required them to be fixed in QC. Your dealer is right that there are 3000-5000 sitting in QC, but I thought those were the earlier production VINs.
I could be wrong, but for you sake hopefully I'm right!

This whole thing has just become a GM "Cluster****"!!!
I ordered on day one in the number 1 slot and I still don't have a build date while Joe Blow can go place an order months after mine and get one built right away. After 23 brand new GM cars, I am thinking Japaneese for the first time real soon!

Yea.. that's incredible. If I didn't love this car I would not be getting involved in this whole crap. My dad ordered his 72' vette back in the day and it took 12 weeks to come in. fast forward nearly 40 years and they haven't been able to improve on keeping up with demand when they actually sell something worth buying.

i believe you are correct on this. battery cable recall was resolved well before VIN 10000. maybe they found another issue, but i doubt it. or maybe you're in a routine QC check.

hang in there. trust me, it's worth the wait!

I really wish the so called fbodfather would come out of hiding and fill us in on what the hell is going on, oh wait his job is done. Promote car must hide till this mess is cleared up. I would love anyone from GM to post a reply. Is this car really going to be worth it in the end? At this rate they should be collectors items because I really don't see to many being built. Plus they got to be loosing money on every car with recalls and several QC issues. If the profit margin is only a few thousand dollars, they lost that shipping 2500 cars to pontiac michigan with the first batch. If I ran my company like this I too would need bailed out.

I disagree with GM I think they are wrong My dealer had a car produced 2 weeks ago and I went and saw it sitting in there showroom Sat afternoon and the Vin was in the 10000 range so I don't think QC is a problem and on Sat it still showed the car produced but not shipped and it was in the showroom. So the GM database is screwed up im sure. Keep your fingers crossed your car may be here before you know it.

Not sure if you got stripes, but if you did I'm pretty sure that is a known issue right now for delay.

After wiping egg off my face, I notified our classic car club not to show up at the dealer as planned this weekend for debuting the Camaro.
G.M. had promised the dealer a yellow RS and food, radio, and old Chevys were being prepped for a coming out party.
Then the dealer was told no car will be arriving-not this week and unknown about next week.
My car, ordered October 13, is somewhere between Canada and South Carolina but no one seems to know where.
I am 90% ready to cancel and someone else can take my place. This is the sorriest business dealings I have ever encountered.
Not the dealer, G.M. Not only can't they put cars on the lot, they can't even communicate from factory to dealer, sufficient plans, production, delivery-they don't even know where cars are ! How do you sell what you don't have ?
Can you say, bankrupcy has something to do with this ?
I have lost much confidence and now, more and more complaints from owners are popping up. I know any new car has bugs but we were told, or was it just forum members, that this Camaro would be a quality build. The best built Camaro ever.
Instead of apologists, let's hear from others who don't have a good feeling about this.
I want to feel good about the car but I am struggling to hang on.

Are you serious? Who the heck are you to call out the Fbodfather, he's a busy man and has already replied on another thread a week a go or so.

Why don't you log off your computer and find something else to occupy your time than calling him out.

A lot of the cars in Area 51 have been repaired and are ready to ship. In fact, I might even say most of them are repaired. The problem is that some cars which still need work performed on them are "holding up the traffic". I think we will be seeing a "shot-gun" release within the next week from Area 51. I agree with most of your points but just hang in there.
