Are both nights Test and Tune or just Friday? Looks like it may cool down a bit by Friday.
No ProCharger yet, just the McCleod clutch in preperation for it. Friday is Test and tune, Thursday is Thursday night lights, which you can make as many runs as you want between 6 and dark, after that the heads up racing starts.

You should make the drive over sometime. I go to Thursday Night Lights when I don't have evening meetings. I may try test and tune though so I don't look like a fool infront of a crowd if I tear my car up.

There's rumor that you may not even get a timeslip at TNL. Heads up racing a few different classes with prize money I believe. It seems to be more of a party atm than a racing atm. I went once this year and I'm glad I didn't race as there were so many people I wouldn't have been able to figure out what to do. Friday is Test n Tune, run your car as much as you can. Great for trying to improve your skills and see what your car needs next to go even faster,

TNL is easy once the guys not racing are cleared from the lanes. They do give you slips....this is legal street racing with decent payouts and it's a blast.

Come to the test and tune friday? As many runs as you want 5:30 to 10:30. I usually do about 7...you could probably to 30 if you want to blow your car apart

But yeah I work Thursdays guys so that's why I am only able to go on Friday. Also, I think some ricer guys who go there on Thursdays may have a hit out on me. They don't like me too much lol.

Test and tune sounds better on Friday. I'm not much for crowded events. Had to wait two hours between runs my first time to KilKare two years ago. They were having a big event on T&T night and giving all the top fuel racers preference for the standing room only crowd. And when I went there this spring it got real crowded. Luckily I bailed just before the huge rumble broke out in the staging lanes.

brawl

Those buses were actually making runs. I was blocking one of the buses so the staging guy let me go to open up their lane just before the fights started.

Not really looking forward to running at C5fest. With over 200 cars supposedly drag racing I figure it'll be at least an hour between runs. Good thing they're telling people to bring lots of water and sunscreen. I know I'll do one run there and ditch. Sorry, I should be more positive.

Yeah, tearing the car up is my biggest fear now. Edgewater is a lot closer tow to Cincy than KilKare is. Still draging my feet on the drivetrain upgrades. A snapped axle will make the decision a whole lot easier. At least my McCleod should hold up better than the stock clutch did the last time we lined up. Let me know if you go Friday. Good to have people there you know.

I will be sure to let you know if I go Friday. I, like you am a little concerned about tearing my car up, but it always makes it easier to let loose of the money when you do. All I need is axles and my drivetrain should be good to go. O and I still need some 18's and drag radials. Thursday Night Lights really isn't that bad. I was skeptical at first too.

By the way, you guys would be impressed seeing Forcefed make some passes. I know everyone in the stands was surprised, including myself.

Friday is perfect...there may be about 30 cars there. Not many at all. You can do as many runs as you'd like,

Later in The year when I try making new record Setting passes I'll come on Friday night as it's easier to prep everything with fewer people and a laid back atmosphere, and it's always much cooler.
Cool air = mo PoWA

If need be I can bring a video camera for troubleshooting and training. Its Super 8 though, so I would have to get someone to convert shots to mpg for distribution. I've always wanted to get video of my runs but I never have a good cameraman. Not that I'm great but I know I can record the correct car, I can record a race and not the ground, and I can be fairly steady

Edgewater, Friday, yes!! I've been working second shift all summer and haven't gotten down to TNL at all. I'm off Friday and definitely want to meet up. Drew!! GO!! I'll even bring your favorite person ever, Pat. (And Adam, I would like to meet ya as well, so it works out.)

I passed my boards for surgery on Monday. I feel like I am on brain melt and NEED some fun in my life.

Not sure if you have ever been to a C5Fest, but it's really not like that. Most people do make lots of runs, but it's not back to back to back, so there are never A LOT of cars in the staging lanes. Most run the drag, then hit the road course, then walk around, then run some more. Only the diehards that only care about running on the track, stay in the staging lane area. You will not have "hours" between runs at all! Also, the ones with super power and no DR's will have some issues gripping, depending on the temps of course.. they will only make a few passes (I bet).
