Don't sweat it. I already had an idea of what happened; so anything that could have been said would have been sweet to hear when compared to what I was fearing.

Sooooooooo, scanner said misfire detected on cyl 7 and we heard a steady ticking noise. I took #7 plug out and freaked out. There waasn't any gap. Turned out the porcelain broke. Of course that's probably not good.

I went ahead and took out plug #5 and #3 to compare. You can't see it here, but I measured the overall length of the plugs and #7 is approx 0.01 inch shorter than the other two. The gap of #7 is about 0.048" and #3 is about 0.060. That's not good either.

The most bothersome thing, however is the silvery discoloration on #7.

Then I turned the motor over by hand and heard something hit something else on each revolution

I was going to ask for possibilities/suggestions. But I think it's pretty evident what happened. So off to the dealer and see if it's covered

You can check in, but you can never check out. Well, unless one of the mods gives you the boot.

Welcome!

Hate to see something like this happen. :( Hope it's an easy fix and you get back on the road quickly.

Hey I have a $20 gas card you can have so you can race at fest. It takes a lot of gas to make a 1/4 mile pass.

Don't underestimate this lol. I've been running about 10-12 runs. I use a little under a quarter tank of gas for that.

Pipe down old man.

I'll have closed on this house by fest... darn closing was pushed back a week and so now I close Aug 2 ("supposedly) and then come up to fest, then home early Sunday to start moving stuff over. I'll only be broke for another couple days.

So I'll have my extra $20 for fest and I'll smoke yo ass on the track b/c my tires are better.

Congrats on the new house. It's worth the 30 years of debt to be a home owner.

New tires were on my porch when I git home from Falmouth today.
