I'd still spend the money on a done set. ☺️

Installed. Need load resistor harness before I say it's complete though.
Its a harder install than I expected because it's mostly gluing everything into place with silicone sealant. If that ever fails, I think I'll probably build a more 'bolt on' style frame to attach everything with. Cutting was ok. Getting the lights in and out was ok. The main problem I had was that the connector from the 'bulb' plug side to the LED board wasn't staying in properly, and would fall out. Easily fixed with a dab of silicone sealant on the latch/clip that was supposed to hold it in place. I'm worried about long term having the silicone hold everything (including the bottom LED strip, because that was falling off when I got them), and DOT requirements, but they look great. Here's a vid of them, though its through a crappy iphone camera so it may not be the best quality. But they do look sweet. https://youtu.be/o_kd_b3MSso

'Falling off' is never a good thing! I'll shoot you an email for getting more info on this.

Looks crisp and bright, I like what I see on the functionality end. Some more lens resolution would of helped to judge aesthetics (the fine detail) for sure. |

Any update on these? No posts recently, but I hope it's still an active project. Definitely one of the best taillight options out there.

Thanks! We still do the DIY kits once in a while for people.

Oh nice, that's good to hear. Unfortunately, the DIY kit is a bit too involved for me right now. Maybe down the road I'll consider it if it's still an option. Anyways, two big thumbs up on the final product, looks great! I saw all the iterations in the older threads and really like what you came up with.
