Any one own a Sig Sauer pistol? I was thinking about buying a .357 P229. I shot my buddies SP2022 in a 9MM, has a good feel to it.

If you like the polymer feel of the sp2022 then you should look into the Sig 250 line. They sell a .40 and .357 barreled pistol package for less than $400.00 and you still get the to hell and back warranty.

I own an sp2022 in .40 and it is a great gun, but don't expect a lot of accessories or add-ons for it...

Just added this to my collection. Springfield XDM 3.8 45 ACP.
This is going to replace my XD 40 subcompact as my primary carry firearm.

You guys are making me jealous!
I can only carry within the walls of my house 'California' style.
If I could I would take my M&P .45 every where I go.
Nice gun!

I think in most states, you must tell the LEO immediately.

Check out this site. As every state has different requirements. VA is a no-inform state, however the PO/Trooper already knows when they run your plate if you have a permit if the plate is registered to you.

In Texas the law states when you are asked for your drivers license you must also present your CHL. Only if the officer asks do you have to tell them where your firearm is. I have talked with many officers that never ask for my drivers license, so I never have to tell them I have my gun. This scenario has been when I witness an accident or report suspicious activity.

If you get pulled over, the best thing to do is to keep your hands on the steering wheel and calmly say, "I have a CC permit, and I am currently armed, my firearm is in _______ and my DL along with my paperwork are in _____. How would you like me to proceed?"

The officer will most likely make you get out of the car to protect himself.
