OK...I'm back. No rolling "chirps" (maybe some squeal), but I'm not surprised after reading the forums. For only ~330 at the rear wheels, OMG is this thing quick! It stopped being "tame" at 4k rpm. I don't want to wear out the clutch or break anything, but smoking the tires is doable, and may become an addiction. I wonder how much a new set of rears are?

My first impression after a 10 minute test ride - very quick, ok torque, nice shifting (I need work on 1st to 2d shift though), and ... the exhaust notes are horrible . The tranny/diff gearing make this a fun and economical cruiser though.

Decisions decisions - should I spend money on an entire driveline/suspension upgrade "kit" to turn this into a beast, or nickle and dime it...

I'm sure you guys have already heard about this but I'm going to a show in Ballston Spa, NY this Sunday and was wondering if you guys wanted to get a group together from Upstate C5 to go? It looks awesome, they got tons of cars and awards, they even have awards just for new Camaros. I'd love to meet up somewhere such as the Mcdonalds in Canastota for the drive over like we were going to last Sunday. Let me know, thanks.

I can't imagine what a set of new rears cost But new tires are not cheap

Yes turn it into a beast... Jk but suspension does help.. 1 - 2 shifts, I
was not a fan of, untill I put a short shifter in...it was probably one of the best upgrades I made...

Well spike when I built my motor I wanted it to last. I did not wanna be cheap on the valve train... I drive my car hard... But you already know what I'm saying, you cut no corners on your car, maybe that's why you where COTW last week on camaro5.

I ordered my sts from the factory. I wouldn't drive an M6 in this car without one as I thought the regular shifter was awful when I test drove an SS without the Hurst. Ron hit it perfectly with the suspension though. I only have drop springs and it really changes the way the car handles for the better. Less lift and dive, much less lean in corners.... definitely look into it!

Sorry to hear you're stepping down! Thanks for all your hard work as Prez! You're doing the right thing by following priorities! You can always come back when things settle down!

Suspension mods did more for the feel and overall driving experience than all the performance mods I've done! Since I lowered with coil overs and put lighter wheels on the car feels like it gained 40 HP!

Andy Thanks for everything you've done for the club and Barry and I. Will give you a call in a few days to see how you are doing. If you need anything don't be afraid to call and ask. Linda and Barry

Unless you are using the clutch pedal for a foot rest while driving the clutch will last for quite some time.HAVE FUN
