Your position as a mod is to be an ambassador for the site. That doesn't mean that when it gets out of hand and stuff has to be dealt it shouldn't be, but it does mean a certain level of integrity should be had. Does that mean you have to agree with us former Camaro turned Mustang owners? Nope. To let your emotions shroud your judgment is something that cannot happen. It impacts the integrity of the forum hierarchy. This is not just the perspective of the folks like myself but fellow Camaro owners as has been posted. Sometimes stepping back and having a beer is the best solution. ![]() |

Ban all the "other car owner members" and delete this subforum. Outside of that it becomes a pissing and whining contest. Seriously. |

I am here to discuss, dispute and argue... If information I bring back is persuasive, and facts can be persuasive... then so be it. Everytime I start a conversation here, there is usually someone shadowing my comments. I have nothing against the retorts of any kind as long as it is automotive, I actually am flattered that y'all take the time to read my post and fire back. When people start to become personal and degrade my lifestyle or daily habits then that is alittle too much. I post comments at full disclosure here when I incorporate facts or findings in my post, providing links, video's or a detailed explaination. If I do post something completely false or "fun speculation" then I try and remember to put a disclaimer in there somewhere if it is not crystal clear that I am joking (see my ZL1 commercial).
Everyone on here knew there would be an influx of Mustang and Chally fans that would find their way here. I said before that even some of the comments made by Camaro5 members would attract the attention of some of the strangest characters, some would be extreme and some would be like myself. The 5th gen Camaro and Camaro5 attacked America's pony car and its fans, maybe inadvertently as far as forum posters go, but GM's effort was directed at the Mustang. Lord only knows how many people have owned a Mustang and how many of those owners have turned rabid. Some of those guys will be idiots, bringing really nothing to the table to discuss. Me on the other hand, know some of the things I bring back here will hurt... it's suppose to hurt... but I will remain respectful until I am disrespected. Now I'm cautious to discuss, dispute or challenge anything other than whats posted here in fear that I will be removed from the forum. It's not like I'm buying inside information from an automotive spy... I am getting information from the same people team Camaro is giving information to. People who were there when the ZL1 was debuted, someone who (according to them) sat in the car, took pictures of it... was on stage with it.. and asked direct questions. It's no secret.. they know who these people are... As we draw closer to the heavyweight fight of the century, things will get much more interesting and I hope I can continue my arguments here. It will get only worse from here on out with random acts of pony car terrorism but that is what this whole Mustang vs. Camaro was always about. I told you all along time ago... I am not your friend... I am the epitome of the enemy. Quote:
Now.... can we get back to what we were talking about. Had a pretty good conversation going about these heavyweights until it was broken up. Of course.. everyone is welcome... Last edited by thePill; 04-01-2011 at 08:09 AM. |

Lots of good info about pushing the limits and the limitations of both the Ford and GM pony-cars. The whiners need to kindly bow out (i.e. *tfu)........

Here's some awesome info I picked up today, the 2014 Mustang's platform is currently being shared with the Ford Australia Interceptor concept and that concept may have alot of the '14 Mustang design incorporated into it.
I think it looks badass... |

Here is some of the Madd Maxx Interceptors concept pic's. I think it is being built for the Madd Maxx 4 movie or TV show.
![]() ![]() I can see the next gen Mustang in the front fasica in the first pic. Pretty cool, though but I would expect this to be tamed alittle lol.. either way, that is said to be the '14's chassis. This thing just went public a day or so ago... Quote:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I see alot of Mustang and Falcon in these... Maybe the new Mustang will be the Interceptor in Madd Maxx 4. I love the front fascia on this concept. It reminds me of the Foxbody SCCA Trans Am Mustangs in the early '90s' ![]() Last edited by thePill; 04-01-2011 at 08:41 AM. |

We target members who Instigate and bicker. We also target those who have no interest in the Camaro and are only here to criticize. You guys want the easy solution for staying here and not being a target. Give credit where credit is due. Plain and simple. If you are not able to give credit to the Camaro in any way shape or form... this is indeed not the site for you... If I have to explain why then you are probably someone who needs to go .... FWIW... Quote:
I agree we do contradict our selves at times. But let me please offer a little more insight to our side of this little quandary. We routinely have discussions about how to deal with this section. This section is by far the most problematic for us. We love the fact that the Mustang Challenger and Camaro are back to brawling in the streets. However. Again I can't believe some of you don't get this... but I'll say it once again... This is in fact a Camaro forum not a musclecar or automotive or V8 or _________.... It's a Camaro forum filled with people who are predisposed to be biased and annoyed with members whos' sole purpose for being here is to be the accountability police... Is it a little immature for us to automatically put Mustang owners in the dog house? yep, I'll take that hit. But I would say it is equally immature for Mustang owners who are, again, only here to pick a fight and hold us accountable to all things Mustang, to think they deserve equal time and treatment. So, we're done handing out warnings and infractions. We've let a metric ton of previously banned Mustang "trolls" back on this site only for them to pick right back up where they left off..... So, if all of a sudden you get a "banned forever" note when you log on with no explanation. All I can say is you had fair warning and enough chances to figure out how this site is moderated. Take it or leave it. Chris

I have given the Camaro and GM props on this site in the last 6 months but I have also had criticism post. There have been issues, I am sure you have seen my post, that I work the problem right on the thread. The transmission issue that I had heard about (not on C5). I did the math on here so people who were interested could see it and chime in. I enjoy troubleshooting, regardless if anyone thinks GM can handle it, I like to play with those kind of things. I had hoped that there was some flags raised or at least informed some people about that issue.. and I had alot of fun doing it... but people took offense to it somehow and that really sucked. I will always be targeted here, and as long as it's automotive.. I'm ready with a response. One of the biggest challenges commenting here is that Its always an uphill battle and honestly, there are just some topic's that will be interpreted as a kick in the ass because... a kick is warranted sometimes. But then again, I will always find something to pat GM on the back about as I did a few post back about the ZL1's chassis bracing. The last thread I started in the ZL1 forum was the "April Car and Driver" with the ZL1 on it and the fact that C&D put the two GM cars in front of their beloved Porsche 911... and then I got banned... No matter though, I am home for the weekend and have already begun digging into my pages. There are alot of other things I would rather be talking about other than this. |

The went on to explain a few other items.. all of which were generalizations... even my coments to Pill were general statements as to how we will moderate here.... But to be clear, if anyone is only here to discuss mustangs or only civics or only supras or only 370Z's or only ________________ then this is not the forum for them.
