Screw marrige if that's what it's like, got to ask permission to spend my own money. I don't see a reason to get married, if I have to put up with arguments and being told when I can or can't do something.

Here's an idea, both of you get a job, both of you have a bank account, and only spend what you earned yourself.

If you didn't earn it you don't have a right to b*tch about it..

But, we both know we won't be getting any surprises either. As you can see from my sig she doesn't have an issue with me getting toys for my toys
Very much like the agreement my wife and I have. I always thought marriage was a partnership not a monarchy. If you don't respect your wife and her family, why did you marry her?

It is very rare that my wife says no to car "stuff"...the only times she seems to say no, I already know that's what the answer really ought to be. She blessed the building of an additional three-car garage with two four-post lifts...I've got parking for seven cars now and I have something in every space...so I'm not suffering for asking!

Good luck!

For me, I have always figured it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. My wife has never said no to me, but I obviously found the perfect job to get away with it. Keep in mind, she also drives a Camaro, and has a lifted 4 door JK Jeep Rubicon on 35"'s she off roads.

You wnat to waste some real money modding, buy a Jeep and 4 wheel it. I get her parts for it, she takes it out, bashes them all up on the trail, and I have to buy them again:( At least my stuff does not break that much.
I had my wife call you to order my headers and cats! Thanks Marylandspeed, you treated her well
