Last year I did test an tune, made 5 passes, on the 5th pass the car launched pretty hard, went to pull 2nd gear and the clutch pedal stayed on the floor, half-track after thinking I broke the car and how are we getting home, then pedal hit my foot (fluid issue I am sure) and the car was good. This year drag racing and car show, more racing than show. I learned a lot in a short amount of time It was well worth a little track time. Flushing the brake/ clutch fluid in spring.

More of a pressure plate issue more than anything. The pressure plate is the root cause on the pedal stick issue.

The pressure plate got to hot, I was thinking fluid but I'll go with the pressure plate. This fest just going to spread things out to try to stay cooler.

I did some drag racing a motorcycle 40 years ago, all with a sportsman tree. The first time with a pro tree was at the last fest and it took a couple of passes to get used to it(not good at it but ready for it). The main thing I learned is "Get all your ducks in a row BEFORE you stage.

When you stage up weither its pro tree or sportsman your supposed to be ready to race. Its like the batters box, dont step in unless your ready for that ball.

Maybe I would, if I was not so busy trying to steer around the unnecessarily large waterbox seeing how I am running normal street radials. |

Pre stage is there for you to get ready. Once the stage beams come on your there to drag race. I see people deep stage all the time on a pro tree.

For those that have little to no experience at drag racing that would like to learn more I along with others in the modified class will gladly help and show pointers and procedures. This is part of the fun of going to these events. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Wow this is getting thrown out of proportion a little to much. This is meant to have fun pro tree or sportsman tree whether you’re a rookie or not. Most want to just go down the strip to see what time they get and go from there (look at the drag racing threads). RT and ET starting coming in after the persons know what there car can do and how to better it. Some do go heads up with friends while others work on there RT or 60’ etc. The tree to most is not a concern at first.
I like either and will adjust accordingly to what is given, not complain because they are using something different. I like hanks idea though, random tree that sucker lol.
