We swapped to the BW TB, and then retuned, as it leaned out down low (indicating increased airflow). Then another pull, and gained 3 lb/ft at peak TQ, but lost some HP due to what seemed like belt slip. On that run I was down to 10.7 PSI peak, with 7.73 psi at 6250 rpm. So almost .5 psi less peak boost, and almost 2psi lost at 6250. Finally, we switched to the Vmax. It richened back up down low, which seems to indicate a little less airflow. It peaked at 11.31 psi boost, with about 10psi at 6250. With the higher boost numbers I was back up to 543 HP and 563 lb/ft. If I was getting those boost numbers with Bo's TB, I bet I could have bested those numbers.

Drivability wise, I can say with the Vmax vs the BW, the BW takes a big steaming do-do on the Vmax. I pulled over and switched back and forth. It confirmed on my Wideband that it is a little leaner with the BW than with the Vmax, which I interpret as increased airflow. I am going to have a much harder time keeping tires on this thing with all this throttle response!
That's some great info 'Vert. Thanks for taking the time to do the comparo and posting the results.

Ummmmm...

I'm no metal-thickness-scientist, but I don't think that's a good thing.

Wow! Mine is nothing like that..... But then again V-max and QC don't mix! If I posted a picture of their "ported intake" you would laugh your A#% off.

No Quality Control what so ever.

Please don't take it as I am trying to come down on Vmaxx at all. They obviously work well. Just showing some of the differences between Bo's and the Vmaxx. Please don't bash any on Vmaxx, that'll get this thread shut down pretty quick. Only showing their different methods to similar results.

I was not bashing, only stating fact's. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that had an issue with V-max. Moving on.

I'm going to be starting a thread in the classifieds section soon... The response to these has been overwhelming and basically the only way to get one is to either get on a waiting list, or you can send your own in to be worked over. I've been talking with Bo today, I've got 8 TB's coming back to me, should show up mid next week, and they're all spoken for at this point...

As for posting pictures, that might take a little while as I don't have any stock tb's left, I sent Bo everything I had.

That's good for Bo but not so good for us. I hope he can keep up with demand. I'd hate to have to buy the other one just because I can't get this one. We've seen more than a few vendors on this forum crack under the pressure of demand. But I'm looking forward to the quality of the product.

I think Bo will be fine. It's really just a matter of if you are willing to wait for one... I've doubled my core supply to try and get ahead a little faster, but I'm not going to run out and buy hundreds of cores just yet.

I'm going to sit down soon and put together "the waiting list"... That list may shorten because I know people hate to wait... But good things come to those that are willing to wait.

The thing is, demand comes in spurts. There may be a 20+long waiting list now but they won't sell any of them for a month or two, once everyone gets theirs. Look at the lack of Vmaxx stock and they are sold by several vendors. If you can wait, it's definitely worth it.
