Hey there Clarkstar, is your Camaro a manual or auto trans? And I read you have put about 5000 miles on the intake setup, how's the drivability with the intake? My Camaro is a daily. Thanks sir.

Manual... no change in driveability after porting the heads and adding the lod intake.

Well guys looks like I'm going to raid my savings account and buy one! With this TSP Stage 3 cam and the 3 inch Flowmaster Outlaw dual quad cat back the engine should breath pretty good with this intake installed, I noticed a difference when I went from 2.5 to 3 inch system. So we will see what we can get from the install and tune. Thanks for the info Clarkstar, you twisted my arm !! lol...

Hey Clarkstar, you're gonna twist my are aren't ya. lol. I just went back and read all of this thread from the beginning and looks like I am going to pull the trigger and get one. Also gotta ask you, I didn't see and fuel rail crossover tube between the 2 fuel rails either on the back or front on your pics or on theirs, did you have to supply your own ? Or did the kit come with one. My BBK fuel rails came with one. And the plate that is under the intake manifold, where does that come from, the flat plate that goes on the valley. Gonna call them tomorrow and check on pricing of a custom powder coated one. Thanks for all your onfo sir !!

I already had aftermarket rails and hoses. I reused the hoses and fittings I had, to go on the rails the l.o.d. intake comes with. The valley cover is still the stock piece... if I ever take the intake off I will probably get an aftermarket one, or P.C. the stock one... as a bit more of it is exposed. I should have just painted it with high temp engine paint, but I didn't really notice it until after everything was together.

Very cool sir, thanks. I will probably use my BBK rails and crossover then, they are red anodized to match my RJT under hood painted pieces. So I am assuming the valley plate is under the stock intake then? I didn't see what was under there when they had my engine all apart doing the cam and everything. Thanks again. Have a great night.

Yes, the raw aluminum valley plate is under the stock intake. Tip: paint/ powder coat it when swapping the intake.

I have been watching this intake for awhile. Still curious why the intake shootout results were not released

Best guess is that their results did not hit the 30-40 hp (stock LS3) they claim. It's been proven that mid runner intakes do not do well on stock ls3's. I was extremely excited when it came out, a great looking American made intake YES please. I asked for a dyno graph showing a stock LS3 vs their intake. The one they produced showed the stock run being 348hp/284tq (post 81)?!? An average run for a stock LS3 on a Mustang dyno should be 370hp/360tq. I get companies inflate numbers to make things look good, but come on... Their after run showed 395hp/314tq. So +25hp at the cost of -46tq.

I can see this type of intake doing well on a big cam stroker running over 7k rpm, but not on a stock car.

I was hoping someone would pick one up to run on a boosted setup. The larger plenum and mid length runners could really shine there. But with the oil seepage I'm seeing at the seam of Clarkstar's pictures, I'm thinking they have some R&D to finish first.

That's just water dude... I just washed it.

Its definitely not going to gain much on a stock motor... that's just common sense. Ported heads and a big cam are a must.

Well Clarkstar, I was going to order this manifold last night and when I got on the website and went to pay for it and saw what the final price was in my checkout basket I just flipped out and said,, OH HECK NO !!! I wish I could have got it when it was 1400 bucks but I was saving for my cam swap and stall converter. Then when I looked at the price break down I saw sales tax,, I have never paid sales tax on any part I bought for the Camaro from out of state, only from companies in Fl, then I thought maybe only about 30-40 bucks for shipping from Texas to FL, but 99 bucks, put the price at 1933.00 and I just can't see that. So oh well thanks for all your info and the pics you shared and I wish you continued success with yours! If I hit the lottery I will buy one... Cheers...
