The chrome are super sexy on you SGM way better than the black ones you have now.

Amazon shipped 3 TPMS's and back ordered 1. I could kill 'em. Took a couple minutes to weigh everything for shits and giggles.

FR wheels
20x10's satin black = 29.6 lbs.
20x11's satin black = 31.0 lbs.

Michelin Pilot Supersports
285/35/20 = 30.6 lbs.
315/35/20 = 33.5 lbs. (fat bastard of a tire)

Front total 60.2 lbs. (.8 lbs. less than my stockers, .6 of this from the tires)
Rear total 64.5 lbs. (3.0 lbs. heavier than my stockers, but with wider tires. Looks like the tires are 1.6 lbs. of the difference)

GY F2's
Front 31.2 (285's)
Rear 31.9 (305's)

ZL1 stock black 10 spokes with tires
Front 59.0 lbs. (285's)
Rear 60.0 lbs. (305's)

ZL1 stock polished 5 spokes (what I currently have)
Front 61.0 lbs (285's)
Rear 61.5 lbs. (305's)

Stock SS Camaro (you guys replacing these will save at least 11 lbs.!)
Front 62.3 lbs.
Rear 68.0 lbs.

Hope this helps somebody.
Sick post bro. Thanks!

I don't even like black wheels, but those ones look awesome on your car.

Agree. I like the contrast of black on green. Good stuff!

These are satin black, ZL1 offsets, Michelin 315 & 285's.

My only concern is the offset in the rear. The car sits a bit lower in the back, I'm guessing because of the extra weight of it being a convertible. The wheel is pretty darn close to the fender.... guess I "need" coil overs...
Do you have any pics of the front? I'm guessing you got the +23 offsets. How do they look against the fender?

Does the front stick out some? I've seen pics of the 35mm and 23mm and yours seem to look more like the 35mm. The 23 should stick out based on my calculations...

Dude, I think you need to compromise and get the black/machined version. Get the orange stripe on the inner lip like in post #3 of this thread and you'll have something close to the original Hot Wheels Camaro.

I enjoy reading this kind of stuff...I did lots of weight figuring on my car and I'm loving the results. I will likely end up with 9" wide polished versions all around on my car, which will result in maximum weight savings. I should lose somewhere between 14 - 16 lbs of rotating mass. Gotta love that!

Both look great! When I first saw the FR wheels on your car, they made me go in a good way! lol. That said, the black looks good too, b/c it seems like you have a black/green theme going there.

To me, the FR wheels stand out more, and make the car look more sporty and "muscle-ish" whereas the black wheels are more of a show car look, and less of a performance look.

I can appreciate black on certain cars and certain colors, but honestly I'm a polished guy through and through....I want that shine! I can appreciate chrome as well, but in this case I feel the polished is just right.

Here's another alternative to the SS badge. You can find them in various colors too.
