I have had the XS Power headers and exhuast since Jan 2011 and have put about 7000 miles on them and still holding up good. Love the sound and the drone, the drone only seems to come in noticiable at 1800 rpms. I would not hesitate to buy again, I have almost thought about buying a second set for a backup under the current sale price. Can't beat it, why pay over double for the same thing? I also bought cats to install but decided not to. The clamps are garbage, buy the lap clamps.

Mine is on order and I'm fitting this weekend! Can't wait to hear this mixed in with the whine of my Whipple SC!

Anyone here running this system without a tune? I've read some posts saying it doesn't throw a CEL.

Reason I ask is because I plan on installing this system sometime soon while Im in Houston, but I'll be driving the Camaro to Tulsa, OK next month and I dont want it to throw a CEL or have any problems on the way there (500+ miles or so). I can tune it if needed when I get there and it throws a light when Im there, but I just dont want anything to happen if Im in the middle of the trip.

Any cons/negatives in doing this, or should I hold off?

Mine never threw a light, but that in no way guarantees yours won't. The type of CEL headers throw is not a big deal. It's just telling you the cats are not working correctly. You could drive your car for the rest of its life with that code and no ill effects.

Mine threw a code within minutes of driving it. It runs fine as is. Getting a tune soon so it should run even better. I wouldn't worry about driving alil with out a tune

Got my kit in yesterday. Put the drivers header on.. Acetylene torch + Hammer and round bar to get the ding. about 1/4" deep. I doubt it has anything to do with the LSX.. But i'm happy with how the kit was designed.. Thats minor to me.

Will finish the install tomorrow.

I got lucky I guess, I heard some of the sets did not need to be modified. I had plenty of clearance on the driver side near the steering shaft. On the passenger side it was close to the frame rail, but enough to clear..

I've had them in for about a week and a half now, have to say i love the sound. i did have to dimple the header by the steering shaft, and the passenger side almost needed it. I also used the Walker clamps, ordered through O'Reilly's. No exhaust leaks after two complete checks. Definitely hear that LS3 valvetrain more in the cockpit, but I've got some CCF/vinyl sound deadener I'll be putting in the floors to knock it down.

On a side note I can't seem to get my tips to align, drivers side seems to sag while the passenger tends to come up. I'll probably end up pulling the mufflers out and adjust the hangers to get it to stay perfect, but I am pretty particular about the car...Or I might take it to the exhaust shop and have them weld it all up for me too.

Aligning the tips took me 2 hours to get PERFECT. I got one side how i wanted..tightened it completely down, then screwed with the other side until i got it.. had to bend the hangers a little.
