My credit card changed my card number so I have the opportunity to renew or not. I would like the safe and sound and I really like the phone...I use it all the time and have recently bought 100 more minutes. I never use the navigation...I have Tom Tom in my Tilt phone. What plan do I ask for when I call OnStar and how much should it cost?

Me as well, I have no need for the turn by turn it is not worth the hassle but having road side assistance etc is nice to have. $200 a year is well worth the piece of mind knowing if I get need it is there.

Safe and sound plan for me. I like the iPhone app, the monthly diagnostic report, and that if I am ever in an accident, my car will call for help if I can't.

Yep I got this discount also from USAA. It's was like $206 off if I remember right! That pays for the Safe and Sound plan next month when the trial expires. Will renew but no Nav! Plus love the iOS app, I can check on my car from out here in Iraq lol! As long as my wife starts it, since the battery shouts down after 3 days to save battery! Good spy tool lol!

I renewed the day before my plan expired. I was able to get the total package for $20 a month. At this price is a financial wash for me because my insurance was this much less for having the Onstar package.

I've had a Z28 stolen before so I'm very conscious of the fact of needing some sort of theft protection.

Funny how I came across this thread. My onstar subscription papers came in the mail yesterday. I was trying to decide if I wanted it. After reading through here, looks like I'll pass. I put aftermarket navi in my car and I'll just keep a key in my wallet.

Not all of it. The only 2 times I've used navi they led me the wrong way and wasted a bunch of my time.
I'll keep the safe and sound package though.

I like it. I like having turn by turn navigation and I also like being able to receive a call without grabbing a phone. It's also cool to locate restaurants etc.
