I have a gym membership. I enjoy going to the gym. I just wanted to start out not going, and see how much i could lose a month, and now im gonna see how much i can lose going.

I bought Wii fit, and sold it, and i dont like work out videos.. really they are a waste of time to me. I like going to the gym burning a certain amount of calories and then leaving.

Good stuff. I just like BP approach a little more simplified and easier to follow with my schedule and his cook book gave me a whole new out look on how good healthy food can taste. Not to mention the fact most of the recipes don't take a lot of time to prepare.

That will get me to my 'normal' weight. Even though I'm 5' 10", almost everyone in my family is broad and solid. I will figure out a fitness plan later tonight.

I figure that should get me into good enough condition to get serious about this. So, start date is going to be tomorrow night. I'll start my 'P101X' on April 12th and my last day will be August 1st.
Yeah, that never happened. None of it. All that has happened since I made that first post about my weight is that I've gained 10 lbs. I'd be lying if I said I even tried. But tomorrow (well, today) is the end of it. Friday morning I will start doing P90X, even though I am a fat slug who would probably have a hard time running more than a couple hundred yard. I am sick of having to go out to try on new jeans, only to have the 'loose' style feel tight around my ass. Too self conscious to go out and do much, including date. I am nearly the perfect stereotype for 'the loser internet guy'. No job, living with my parents, and obese. Only thing missing from that stereotype is that I don't live in the basement, and I won't hit 30 for a number of years.

Anyway, this is the end of it. As my christmas present to myself, I will complete P90X. I have horrible self motivation, so I ask a favour of you, you random people on the internet. I've decided to do my workouts each morning, so every afternoon I want each of you who read this to PM me, asking me, bothering me, pestering me to see if I've done my workout. It ain't a perfect plan, it's real easy to type a lie, but hopefully it will be harder than spending an hour a day getting in shape.

By the way, has anyone else who subscribed to this thread completed their fitness goals? Come on, 'fess up. I ashamed to admit that I went 10 lbs in the wrong direction. So there aren't going to be too many that did worse than me.

Are you kidding me???????

Boo on you?!?!

Do you have any idea how hard it is for folks to put their minds to something and actually follow through!

45 pounds is HUGE! Do this.....

Go back to the gym tomorrow and pick up a 45lb PLATE. THAT is how much you lost. That sh!t is HEAVY. My wife wants to lost two of those. She put on a lot when pregnant with both the boys....and it ALL stayed on. She is SO unhappy. But, we are hitting the gym.

You lost 45lbs....that is a great deal. You can't expect to lose it all overnight. yes, I know that you have been doing it a while. But do NOT, for ONE SECOND, think "boo on you" because you didn't hit your goal weight.

I, for one, and EXTREMELY proud of you.

I've been working on mine forever.....and am on that plateau. My eating habits need to change, because that is where I think my main issue is.

Again, GREAT job.

Very HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

Hey Pink,

If you start eating five small meals a day you can get where you need to be before the end of the year. I know an awesome book which will show you how it's called Body for Life by Bill Phillips. You can get the body you want in 84 days if you follow this guy. That's right only 12 weeks.

Hey...at least you didn't put on 16lbs like me. Shoot. I went up to 240 from 225 over the past year. I did the atkins diet an went waaaay down to something like 210. I felt horrible because I had no strength.... My weight lifting was really affected. But, I lost a lot of weight and I felt better about myself. I got constant remarks about how I looked thinner.

I went back to eating normal and put on a few pounds hovering at 222 for about 2 years. Went down to 206 in the PD academy...and back up to 220 for another 3 years....until the last two, where I've been steadily increasing. I feel like crap. I can't stretch like I used to. I can't run like I used to. It sucks.

I got back into the gym and have been working out 3 days a week....need to make it a solid 5. But, I'll be honest. My problem does not lie in the working out area....it's in how I eat. I eat late a night and I also tend to eat out at restaurants a lot. Oh, and let's not forget that fact that I sit in a car pretty much all darn day now too. Ugh....

I need to lost about 30 pounds. FOR STARTERS>

I thought atkins was all about high protein, which shouldn't hurt muscle too much.
