They reworked the engine. I think its based off of what they did on the 3.0L they introduced a little while ago. It is now E85 capable, weighs less, produces more power, and is just as efficient.

Torque is the same, but peaks 300rpm earlier

I saw Becky's original thread but it didn't have a defined date yet.

I'm still waiting on the pricing and order date info for the 2012s so I can place my order and have my Camaro when I get back to the states. This helps narrow it down.

Unless GM changes something, this is what Crystal Red Metallic looks like on a Corvette. Not quite as dark as Red Jewel but still a nice red. I would have picked this over Victory Red if it had been available in 2010.

The order guide is out, that gives dealers the opportunity to get educated on the new product changes (supposedly). That means pricing should go public within the week or so. Monday morning perhaps, or at least the beginning of the week. Friday wouldn't be optimal as most dealers take the weekend off. Pricing should go public on Monday, the 16th...

I would ask your dealer to see if orders can be placed now, there is a guy on Camaro5 that placed an order for a 2012 convertible http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146240

See man, that makes two. The dealers will typically price the vehicle as a 2011 until the prices become official. I orderd a 2011 on 8 March 2010 (Mustang) before pricing was public... Go ask your dealer...
