Before the race do what you can to keep him idling alot or basicly anything to keep him at low speeds. Do that and you'll get him to heat the blower up. The GT500 can easily lose 50RWHP from a cool blower to warmed up. This is why they are easier to beat in a roll race. The longer they stay on it the more heat they make and the less power they make. If you can wheel your car pretty well you should be close to 60 and from there start to walk him.

The 2011+ GT500's have upgraded heat exchangers and heat soat is no longer an issue for those cars. Plus the first mod many guys with 2007-2010 GT500's in warmer climates do is to upgrade the heat exchanger to a larger one. Once again heat soak is a non-issue once this simple mod is done.
