I might be going out on a limb, but I'm guessing 45k with the GG tax included.

i think base will start at 52,500 plus options and gg tax and destination fees plus sales tax right under 59,000 out the door that is probally the most relalistic outcome

It makes perfect sense. If you clearly have a better product, why would you price it the same as your competition? I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense to you,but from a purely business standpoint it would be leaving money on the table if priced the same as a GT500.

GM made this mistake on the introduction of the C6 Z06 and bumped the base price up $5k for 2007. I don't see them doing this again.

Last month I bought my 45th SS for 42,000.00 out the door because I couldn't wait
for the Zl1.Months are like years to me when i'm waiting on something.I did make the dealer promise me he would take the SS back in trade for the ZL1 when the time came. I have fallen in love with my SS and have no intentions of trading it in now.To make a long story short,42k for the SS and just a supercharger costing 7k-8k dollars
I find it hard to believe the ZL1 will be priced anywhere near 50k. I'll guess min of 56k.

Ahhhh....I see you've raised your "guesstimate". I think you're in the ballpark now.

$49,999 Think GM will try to pull something like fastest production car under 50k. Like they did with the G8's fastest production sedan under 30k type thing

I think he is just not up to date on what cars of this caliber cost these days. GT500 base is about $49k ($55k with Nav and SVT packages) and to say that a new ZL1 base at $45k is well...

That is an interesting perspective...would love to see it but my money is about $52-$54k before any options, taxes etc.
