I don't let them faze me. They can talk all they want at a light, and this is what I do:
When they pull up next to me at a light, and start trying to egg me on, I start revving my engine and glancing back and forth between the light and the driver, back and forth.
Making myself look like I'm on edge ready to smoke this guy....... Light turns green, I don't even touch the gas, he FLOORS it, and looks like a dumbass. I slowly accelerate like a prius.
I look normal, he draws attention for being a d-bag.
In fact, I have done that so much, in two cases, the mustang/challenger got pulled over by a cop also at the intersection they seemed to not notice. But I did.

I had this conversation with one of my football players, he wanted to race me and I told him it wouldn't be worth my gas money, lol. Then he goes "scared aren't ya?" me: "No, not really." Then he asked "What's that thing got in it, a 350?". when I told him it was a 376 with 426 hp and 400 ft/lbs of torque, he went "oh.....really?.....WOW." and walked away shaking his head. It was HILARIOUS! Neither him or anybody else on the team has asked me to race since.
