I have an IOM as well and have noticed the difference. It seems that there is a lot more gold flake in the bumper. It's not noticeable when it's cloudy, but in the sun...oh man! Kind of a bummer, but I was just gonna suck it up. Now I'm curious to see if there's anything that can be done about it.

There is a good picture of the mis-matched paint in this thread.

That thread was closed and I missed it... but I'm not a Mustang owner that is here to make fun of Camaros..and the owner of the recently delivered car admits it can be seen by the naked eye...so i don't wanna hear the camera, angle, flash ,sunlight crap.
I don't know how much koolaid I'm expected to drink
I surely hope it's another "isolated incident"

We have bigger problems then paint not matching to deal with. The uaw in canada and the Canadian government and GM did not come to agreement last night at midnight. last night was the dead line or they let GM in Canada go in to chapter 11 and let them be liqudated, if this happens any car thats no made yet will have to wait about a year for them to move the plant to the USA, if they can get the tooling out of the bankrupt.

I posted this over in the tracking thread stating that there are known QC issues with the rear bumper paint. It can take up to 3 months to fix.

Anyone ever looked at a 4th gen SS in red...the hood and spoiler didn't match the rest of the car. Especially after a year or two. My guess is the dealer body shop can repaint to match?? And under warranty i would think.

Ch. 7 is liquidation. Ch. 11 is reorganization. People like you who don't know the difference are the reason Ch. 11 will probably be harder than it should be.

Anyway, there was an RJT CTF car with a pretty badly mismatched paint job. The dealer demo I wrote about had perfectly matching fascias, but the paint had flaws elsewhere. These are the bugs that are worked out in early production and hopefully eventually fixed. This isn't just GM being particularly careless though, as it happens on most mass produced cars. My grandma's Rav4's rear spare tire cover has a mismatched paint job worse than any Camaro fascia I've seen, and that's from Toyota, and they only make perfect cars right? No need to panic or get too worked up over this. Early adopters always get screwed over somehow.

Has this ever been seen in Black?

Does anyone think it is a difference in the way the metallic lays on the material?

If it truly is a shading difference you should be able to see it from all angles, as opposed to a material difference that you see only in a certain lighting/angle combination.

I heard there was a black one up in MI that was VERY off after GM repainted it.
