I wanted a Camaro when I was 15-16 in HS and you sit around talking about cars. The third gen was out then, but I would have taken any of the generations. I just loved the Camaros. By the time I was in a secure place to get a New Camaro, they were discontinued. I ended up getting a Mustang GT thinking that the Camaro had gone away forever. :(

When the Gen 5's came out I was ecstatic! Waited a year or two to make sure GM didn't just throw out something that looked good, but wasn't really a pony car. When I was satisfied...I took home the IOM 2SS/RS/L99 that I have been in love with since I first saw her.

Well I bought my camaro at 26 (April 2012). My parents gave me a Corolla at 17, and I gave it back to them at 26 .

As for when I wanted a Camaro, I saw it at a dealership and decided to buy it.

Good on ya! I should state, I have nothing against parents supplying their kids with cars, my parents had a car for my sisters and I to share. I just get rubbed the wrong way by 16 year olds who get a muscle car from their parents and then go around acting like the world's biggest bad-ass. Sure, it's cool, but it's not a car you earned.

Now, if you have a sweet job at 16 and bought it with your own money, I give you double props.

a white z10 with a 396 in 1969, I was 15; and I bagged a lot of groceries, threw a bunch of hay, did a lot of pulp-wooding. Basically worked my a$$ off for three years retiring the debt. I did every kind of work I could pick up to do.

Lusted after these cars since I was 14. Boyfriend of my friend's sister drove a 70something red one that I drooled over even back then. Life got in the way, but at 45 and 364 days, the stars finally aligned in my favor. I picked him up the day before my 46th birthday.

I was about 8 yr old in Trenton new jersey and my moms best friend Ruth had a Blue Iroc z28 with T-tops. It was nasty, then my senior year of high school in 94 my best friend Dwights dad had a black with red interior Iroc z28 that he would pick me up sometime for school. So when I saw they were coming out with a new Camaro I had to get one. I bought mine a the you g age of 34!!! And haven't looked back since
