A long, long, time ago. I decided that when I retire, I am not going to sit there and say Gosh, I wish I had done that!. No way in God's Creation, is that going to happen.
I married a beautiful woman, I have had the job I dreamed of when I went into the transportation business, I have owned a Corvette, I have owned three Camaros and one Trans Am. I have al ovely home. Two wonderful healthy, adult children. I have done the Richard Petty Driving Experience (King's Experience), I have been truly blessed. As such, when my Bride and I saw the new Camaro Photos I took at NAIAS in 2006, we had a long talk. It was a two year gestation period, but, we decided, that this car would be in our Garage someday. I am only 59. Retiring in about three years. I will be there with my 2010 Camaro 2SS, Black with Orange Stripes, Orange Interior Trim, Polished wheels, six speed. (and maybe a few other goodies.) If some youngster can't handle that, Oh Well.!!!!! I am gonna enjoy every moment I can during the years I have left on this planet. "Whadda ya mean, line 'em up!, I thought you said, "Light 'em up!"

Honestly, I don't see why age would hold anyone back??
If you like the car and am comfortable in it, then get one of these bad boys!! Good luck.

![]() THIS is the ONLY sign that you are too old for a Camaro...go buy it while you are still young enough to enjoy it! |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not telling my age, but I did buy a used 68 4 speed GTO at a car lot as my daily driver a few years back! Not too old for a Camaro here, but I think I am old enough that I will not get any stripes, gaudy wheels, high spoiler or orange interior! CGM or JRT 2SS, 6 speed, black interior with polished wheels is all I need. |

Hay, I thought I was the oldest old fart here (66) LOL- I can't wait to get my 2SS/RS Camaro- The question should be: Who's to young for this car- It's the kids that will be getting in trouble with this car, not us.

Who cares what others think? If it is what you want then buy it. I am. I'm 39, 6'2 and a little over 300lbs. I may be big for the car, but I'm comfortable in it. I have loved Camaros since before High School. It will be my third Camaro, but probably not my last.

You folks have convinced me!! Thanks for your encouragement. I'm going to order one! Black.............with beige leather appointed interior..............automatic 6 - so my short wife can drive it. I would not allow her to drive my last Camaro since it was stick shift and for her to reach the clutch...................she was right up against the steering wheel. BUT................I do want to at least sit in one before I place an order.
The two dealers here STILL DON'T HAVE A SINGLE ONE! Do you think this is the fault of dealers dragging their heels in their initial order...............or, is it Chevy? Yet......I did see a YELLOW one on the road this week...............I guess just going through town. |

Don't forget the telescoping steering wheel, which I'm pretty sure is standard (can anyone confirm that?). It might be possible for your wife to drive stick without having to sit too close to the wheel.
Chevy is struggling to get them onto dealer lots, they can't make them fast enough. There was one that just arrived when I went to one of the largest dealers in my state a couple days ago...and I doubt that one will be there for long.
