I haven't seen this setup in person but from what I can tell the screen is at a very poor angle to the driver. It seems a small child in the back seat is the only one that'd have a clear view.

That's a normal outcome though for dashes that are retrofitted with a navigation unit like they're doing here.

not saying it's going to be unviewable, but I think it's certainly a drawback.
I would think it would be just as viewable as the people that have installed the metra/scoshe kits. Maybe one of them can chime in on the viewing angle.

most screens can be tilted so it's not really all that big of an issue unless you are one of those people who sit darn near on top of the steering wheel.

We are having issues with our new 12 2ss/rs radio. The display has gone out and have no radio controls except with steering wheel. I am hoping if they have to switch the radio out we can do it with the new one and pay the difference.

Thats cool and shit but I just got a Pioneer system that has all of this. I love it. I did have to use the Scorcse (not sure of spelling) and I think it looks good. Maybe I'm missing something here but as far as I know mine can do what that would do.

Supermaro: I think most of the people that want this are people that want to keep a factory looking interior.

And this uses the factory A/C knobs. Versus the big plastic buttons.

Exactly...

I actually like my big knobs and D-Pad inspired A/C & Seat heating controls.

I want it looking like it came from the factory, but I want a touchscreen with all the goodies..

So, this is exactly what I'm looking for.

Well, that and a better amp/speaker/subwoofer setup.

I just got back from the Michigan Fbody Meet and Greet. Saw several ZL1 convertables there.

Anyhow, I asked the guy with the orange convertable if you could put that radio into the 2010 Camaro. He said yes, but it would be real tough.

So I said how tough, you talking taking apart the dash. He said yes.

So that gives me some hope on that.

So you are pretty much saying is that it is easier to do then installing the HUD in our cars.
