How would you compare the Hurst bushing to the NH-SS bushing in terms of stiffness and noise?

I spoke with Hurst yesterday, but they want me to verify that the bushing is bad before they send an update. Not being very mechanically inclined, I'm not sure if I can do that myself.

I ordered the Hurst bushings yesterday, and will get them installed in a week or two. Once I get them in, I'll let you know if they fix my issues.

I just got the steel bushings installed today. Wow, what a difference! Side-to-side play is gone, and my shifter is actually alot quieter.

Did you guys use the loctite that was provided for the hex screws? If so how did you remove without stripping the thread?

Had my Hurst shifter installed 3+ years ago. Was worth every penny compared to the stock shifter. I have noticed a lot of side to side play in the shifter now.
Last time I had my car at the shop. They checked the play and said it was really bad. They mentioned when I bring my car out in the spring for service, To add the bushing to the list.
Over all this was a good purchase and addition to my car.
