However when it comes initial acceleration the Camaro is sluggish and for lack of a better word, has poopy low end power and throttle response. What this car needs is more low end power and torque, sure horsepower is awesome but with no torque and more aggressive rear end gears these v6 crapstangs will be walking all over us.
LOL I agree top end just gets you put in jail, but torgue and low end power you use every day. My mission is to get the most out of the accel even if I lose top end. I just want to have fun driving, even if it is just driving my kids to school.

PS I won't be driving wrecklessly with them just getting to the speed limit rather fast. LOL

I would have to agree with you, but I have a MT and in 3rd gear on the highway it bolts, but you have to be going at least 75 if you really want that kick.

It might just be me, its a bit subjective. 3rd just seems to be too long a gear imo. Might sound dumb to someone who knows more about how trannies are built but I wish 3rd and 4th were shorter. The car would be faster in the 1/4 if 3rd ended at like 90 instead of 100.

top speed

The fastest I have gone in my 2011 1LT A6 was 136mph, and I have stock everything & I wasn't even in sport.

Not so sure..................I was still in 3rd gear at 103.40 mph when I went thru the traps in the 1/4 mile and still had more to climb.

I've taken the car to 240 kph (150 mph) too many times to recollect. There are some great roads here without any radars and almost zero traffic.

Its amazing how quickly this car can reach 240. At no point do I get the feeling that the car is struggling to get to or maintain the 240 limit.
What I hate is that the needle gets stuck at 240 kph and doesn't go over lol.

I have had my 2LT/RS over 125, and was able to keep up with V-8's that were doing as much as 145. I was never too far behind, and they were all impressed that my V-6 was able to keep up with them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a shift into 4th just before the end of the quarter mile likely hurt the overal time a bit?

Using lowers would probably require a shift, but hopefully by the time you've made it that far down the 1/4, your lower gearing has gotten you there faster than stock so your overall time will be better even with the shift.

Anyone feel free to correct me lol.

If you can get the engine to breath at higher RPM, just get Vince to up the limiter... I'm sure the engine can turn 7500 with no problems to the bottom end. Ya just gotta get it take more air. Now, the cam chain tensioner might need an upgrade... just depends on the harmonics at that engine speed. Gotta ask the Aussies what they do to turn the HFV6 to 8K.

Exactly. The fewer shifts the better, which is why I may end up with a little taller drag radial this year. Having to shift at the end of the track sucks but it's either that or bump the rev-limiter and lose a lot more.

The best case scenario would be to go thru the traps just below the rev limiter in third gear. Like I posted, I still have some room in third gear, which to me says I can go to a shorter dia. tire which in effect will change my gear ratio. Just don't go so small that 4th gear is required.

When I dyno my car in 4th it hits the limiter @ 155, and 3rd gets me to 142 so I think there is plenty to play with.

Yea.. rub it in... My buddy tells me there is a V6 TT Camaro in Puerto Rico turning 10s! His brother is supposed to be getting specifics from the guy this weekend for me. His is all done in a local shop. He said he thought they were doing sequential turbos though.
