Incase no one posted, here is what makes skip shift 1st-4th active per the owner's manual.

• The engine coolant temperature
is higher than 76°C (169°F),
• The vehicle is going 24 to
31 km/h (15 to 19 mph) and
• The vehicle is at 21 percent
throttle or less.

Has anyone tried to install the skip shift eliminator on their Camaro that was designed for the Corvette Tremec tranny? Are they the same?

That's ideal but it voids your warranty. From what I understand even if you have the ECU re-flashed with the stock parameters before taking it in for service they can still tell that it has been modified.

I have HPTuners and after my warranty is up I will be removing CAGS with the tune, but until then the $25 eliminator is keeping my warranty valid.

You know I was open to dealing with this, but I've had my car for less than a week and I've already made the decision to get the $30 eliminator. Although it doesn't do it THAT often, it has caused me to lug the engine on more than one occassion, and I can see how it can become a safety issue in an intersection.

So its good that the car has it to avoid the GG tax, but I'm getting rid of it.
