Gm peformance lists a kit for 3.91 gears for 10-13 and a different one for 14-15. Is there a difference In gears ? 19329768 is a kit I found for sale, says it’s for a 14-15 will they fit my 10 ?

It’s just the gear set bolts oil and gasket. I will tune the speedo myself. From what I can find the 5 gen from 2010 to 2015 used the same gears. Just want confirmation.

Hi everyone,
opening up an old thread. Lots of great information regarding the mechanical swap - thank you to all for sharing your experiences and knowledge!
What I found little information was regarding the software update needed after replacing the mechanical bits. I would be doing the swap for a 2011 Camaro 2SS manual and the two main questions I would like to ask are:
1. In the service bulletin, it says that the calibration ID to be installed is 12660301. Can anyone shed some light on what this cal file entails? Is it a complete re-flash of the ECU, or just an update of a specific part of the software / specific control unit? Main reason I am asking is if this file would overwrite newer calibration updates that might have been installed during servicing at the dealer?
2. My plan was to first install the 3.91 diff ratio, then drive to the dealer for the calibration update. Would the MIL come on, or would the vehicle go into limp home mode if driving when driving with the new diff ratio but without the updated software?
Would appreciate any thoughts or experiences. Thank you in advance.

Only thing that will happen is the speedo will be off. Most guys have it adjusted in their tune, but if that is the only change you are making, dealership is as good a place as any. Updating a tune only affects the parameters you change unless you start with a completely different file than the one in ECM now.
