Post #98, I am starting to think that no one at Chevy CS has an idea about how this certificate program works. CS told me that the dealer had to arrange for the certificate (I was very skeptical of this, especially since my dealer is one of those types that won't answer the phone), and I received one phone call from my dealer (to my surprise) and that was it....no certificate, no explanation, nothing.

Sorry to say, but this certificate distribution has been poorly handled (and that's me putting it mildly).

How did you guys find out what number your car was. I am assuming it's in the VIN but not sure where.
It is the last 5 numbers on your VIN
My vin is 2G1FZ1EP8D9805969 so my car was #5969

I have submitted for this two times and haven't got anything from them. I have called the number two times and haven't got anything too. Waste of my time and this is just a bunch of bad info and the person providing it is a fraud.

Sorry, but talk about a pack of idiots. I get this today...my 3rd attempt at getting a certificate. 1st time was a vaild request.... no results so I send a follow-up. The 2nd reply has the wrong car type (ZR1) and my name is not "Brad". I am pretty sure I know Corvette vs Camaro and ZR1 vs ZL1....Then I get the below with another 4-6 weeks to wait. Seriously GM, its a piece of paper...is it that hard? Sometimes its the
simple things that keep folks loyal to a brand.

"Dear Bob,
Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. We appreciate you taking the time to write us regarding your request for a ZL1 certificate for your 2014 Chevrolet Camaro.

About your request, please accept my sincerest apology for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I have doubled check our system and it shows me that your vehicle, VIN- 2G1FZ1EP0E9800475, is a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, not a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, it's a minor typographical error but let me assure you that we have put in the correct information in our system.

Please accept my deepest apology as well for the delay of your request. This is because for 2014 vehicles, certificates will not begin to go out until mid-April.
Rest assured that your request is properly processed this time. However, it would take 4-6 weeks for you to receive the certificate in the mail. "

Still waiting...... I think my ZL1 Certificate must be on the GM Recall List. Year and a half......wow and I thought the DMV was slow......snail mail can't be this slooooooooow. Maybe my certificate has to sign up with Obamacare first......

I got a phone call and an email the last two times and didn't receive the certificate. I tried again and got the April message. I took delivery of my ordered 2014 ZL1 on August 18, 2013!

I have a 2013, so add a year to your wait and you'll be in my boat. Several emails, phone MSGs, but No Certificate.

I bought a GM Exec car, so it was sold to me as a used vehicle, but no one has ever really owned this car before. My Dealership titled it in the Dealers Name and I did a transfer from them. I really hope that I can still get the certificate. I went ahead and sent the request in, only time will tell.
