So future Z/28 owners, if you don't want me to think you're stupid for not using the car as intended, then use it for what it was intended. Because I WILL think you're stupid if you do otherwise. And there's nothing you can do about it.
This is in the top ten of ridiculous post.

P.s. I agree that it needs to be tracked though.

Porsche Ceramic Rotors alone are $17K, w/o pads or calipers. Figure GM can sell them for $10k maybe more, Shoot they are getting $1,200 for a ZL1 wheel, add that to what you think a race purposed car, and it won't be for the faint of heart, 1/2 of them will never have the plastic removed from the interior, pure investment where money isn't a issue, another 1/4 will go to race teams where if the don't have it there is no money income from sponsors, and the last 1/4 will see the streets/DE weekends by some fortunate people that could have considered a Z51 C7 with a active electronic diff and can be a DD as weather allows.

Agreed. These are limited too, right? Cash cows for dealers. Still, at $80-85K they're still cheaper than a GT3 or other track oriented machine that I can recall.
Can't wait to see Mr. Pobst take one of these around Mazda Raceway/Laguna Seca.

I really dont know how, a few months ago I was ordering a white stingray but the racing seats and carbon fiber exposed roof was not available yet. A few weeks I got called back in that the hold on those options where lifted and I could now placed my order. As I am with the manager of of that department (where they place orders and do the allocations) the guy tells me, "that I could soon place my order this coming march 2014 for the Z28. I ask how much to the main guy. And thats how much he said $71,000. Now he didnt tell me if thats already with the mark up. I am just going to wait and see in two weeks what GM has to say

Another thing to remember is that the Gas Guzzler Tax will be at least 2600 not the 1300 that some are figuring. The LS7 will get less MPG that the automatic ZL1. And I heard that GM has to pay a penalty to the EPA for each LS7 sold because it dosen't meet the pollution requirements. (don't remember where I read that so it may not be factual)
