I cant get an answer from anyone there as to why there is only 1 clutch pack assy with the new gear kit. Do you know the answer to that one?
The way I worded that was not 100% fair. It is definitely a two way street. I think a lot of the confusion is coming from the 1LE 3.91 gears that were available originally and now there is this kit. The 1LE gears were on restriction and required a VIN number to get them. The new kit does not require any of that stuff, you just order the part number. It is a straight upgrade part for the SS.

That I do not know.

Top Speed will not change, you will just simply accelerate faster.

I was thinking of switching my 3.27 to the 3.91 gm kit, but was waiting to see if anybody has done it and loves the change.

It has been done many times at this point. It is a very popular upgrade. By upgrading the factory 3.27s in the stock A6 equipped Camaro SS to the 3.91s you will realize an equivalent torque gain of approximately 20% or 82 lb.-ft. of torque and cruise at 2150 RPM at 70 MPH.

The 1LE diff part number is 22806794. If you need help getting one let me know. Yes, the dealership can recalibrate your speedo but half of them don't know it.
