That is fast for 426hp. Good job. What timer did you use?

With your speeds, I bet the only place 2nd gear can be used is at Oak Tree. Otherwise 3, 4, 5.

Awesome times Todd. Is the track any different after the repaving...in terms of grip, bumps, etc.?

2014 ZL1
Yes it's a fantastic surface. It's rubberized. It has both more grip and wears out tires much less. Plus no more paint chips from the surface coming apart.
It's probably a full two seconds faster than before.

The curbing is gentler but some of the bumps that give the track character are thankfully still there. It remains my favorite track.

December 27, 2014, NJMP/Thunderbolt, Millville NJ / 1:37 / 2008 GT - Michelin Pilot Super Sports / Dry . . . air and track temps somewhere in the 50°'s F, new pb and a great way to finish out the year.

Midway through session 3 I got a bit sloppy ↓↓↓ , and one of the end results was a RF wheel that suddenly became at least a pound heavier and half a pound out of balance. Cleaned enough of the agricultural stuff off to not be dropping it all over the track or fighting a wheel shimmy in time for session 4.

Earlier in the day I'd offered my right seat to an instructor who wasn't going to be driving his own car much due to a little tire rub, and he hopped on board for session 4. Among other things I learned that session, I found out that the added weight of a passenger + forgetting to turn the A/C off costs about 4 seconds on this track. The Carrera in the other screen shot is his car, and it's a bit of a Frankenstein with parts raided from several different years.

I have to agree with you 100% there. I've hit 5-6 tracks this year and Button Willow is by far my favorite track. Not sure what it is about that track but every session out I set a new PR without Fail. Could just be a comfort level thing or familiarity but it is my favorite track as well.

It also allows for experimentation on different driving styles giving plenty of room for error if something goes wrong. The lack of retaining walls could have something to do with it but I didn't have the same enjoyment at Thunderhill and they don't have much in the name of retaining walls so...not sure.

Motorsport Ranch Cresson 1.7 CCW

Just had a chance to run my stock 2015 Z28 here.

Great conditions 60-65 degrees and sunny. Best time was 1:21.3 but lots of laps in the mid 1:21's as well.

Really fun and super safe track if you are ever in Texas and want to run a lapping day. I have a video but mounted the gopro to low in the car so you can't see that much out of the windscreen.

I would have posted video - but someone lost my phone mount and the car isn't set up for my old goPro.
This is my daily driver and the only mod is the ss calipers and stock pads on the front. Couple of places I was loafing it, there is probably 3 - 5 secs I could find without more camber and lower treadware tires. So for a basically stock v6 with the wierd AT shifting its not bad.

Road Atlanta is my "home" track and when I'm out instructing and take the Camaro I only run one or two sessions a weekend.
