Backup Camera Grid Lines gone after OnStar/XM setup

Well, this is interesting. Is this for real or just a tease. If real can you provide some assistance helping other 2013 and 2014 owners like me get the grid lines back on in the backup camera?

One more time, we can do it for 2014 cars but we need the sliver box of the mylink to add that back in the radio, and we dont Tease.

How easy is it to pull out? Will I have to remove the whole radio? What do you all charge?

Hi yes you need to remove the raido, to do that remove the center console then the face plate and then the radio.

Not necessarily true. The lines could be in either. You can replace the camera with one that has grid lines but these would be stationary lines.
The active lines (the ones that curve) are in the MyLink or you need that expensive add on interface from South Korea to add them, Or if its the correct year Mylink have gen5diy add them.

I know this is an older thread but did anyone ever get it figured out? I have an appt in a couple weeks to get the dealer to do an update to Mylink and maybe BCM, Anything i can tell him to check or do?

Well, I got the Radio updated though GM, There were 2 updates one though the GM Lap Top and another that had to be installed though the USB. Neither fixed my issues, The BCM had some updates as well but that didn't fix it. The dealer has no idea what to try next.


I am wondering if changing the camera would work and if I should order one for the 14 or the 15. A lot of posts on this forum said the 14 didn't have the lines but Mine did for sure and the dealer said it is listed for my car.

Well A New GM Camera did not fix the issue, At this point I am not sure what to do besides order a new radio from Gen 5 Diy.
